The staff here is very friendly and genuine. I brought my little sister in for some hot cocoa and the barista put an extra flair on it for her. Extra cream and chocolate shavings. I come here every morning for my coffee! Service is nice and fast! Good place for quick coffee and a bite to eat in or in the go, friendly service by Rosa, free wi-fi, one block from MacArthur bart station, street parking and clean setting. Enjoy! Great friendly neighborhood place. The menu looks good though I did not have a chance to try much

I recently enjoyed a return visit to Cafe Dejena with a friend after morning Mass across the street at Sacred Heart Church. As usual the eatery was inviting - it was clean and tidy and sparkled in the morning sun. The glass shelves were filled with all kinds of yummy baked goods that helped to whet the appetite. But my mind and tummy had already settled pancakes and bacon which arrived piping hot very soon after I had placed the order. The pancakes were just the way I liked them fluffy and covered with butter and I found the syrup just as enjoyable with just the right amount of maple sweetness. The bacon was flavorful, though the slices were rather thin for my taste buds. Nevertheless I washed it all down with a robust cup of coffee. In addition to such American food classics this place is known for its eastern African fare, which I will leave others to comment on.
