Went here for our 3 year wedding anniversary. After having the fatty tuna, my husband closed his eyes for almost a full minute and said, “this is the best night of my life”
We had an outstanding meal at Sushi Salon. The variety and quality of the fish was great, paired with a great selection of sake. maybe one of the best Omakase I’ve had outside of Japan. We will definitely be back.
I’ve had the great joy and pleasure to eat omakase all over the world - including Japan, and this was the best meal of my life. The thoughtfulness, sustainability and conscious touch to every little thing made this Omakase experience above the rest. Each bite showcases the high quality of ingredients, many of which are sourced from Japan, including unique cuts of fish, small batch vinegar, and soy sauce. Guests can watch the chef work his magic with the most incredible, fresh fish. Hand-grated wasabi and special pickled ginger elevate the dining experience further. The restaurant offers an astonishing 18-course omakase, expertly prepared and filled with stories from the chef about his choices, making it one of the finest Japanese experiences stateside. Although the sake prices are high, sharing a half bottle for $35 is a tasty option. With a private and comfy atmosphere, Sushi Salon is highly recommended as a must-visit in Oakland for a special occasion, promising one of the best meals of your life.
