Food was sub mid. Nothing special. Actually no taste. Wings were bland and had no spice.

Ordered takeout this weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Both the house red curry with pork and the spicy eggplant dish were tasty and fair-size portions. This place is a cut above the usual run-of-the-mill Thai restaurant.

The floors, walls and light fixtures were dirtier than any McDonald's. It's a sad environment for dining plus unfortunate culinary. Who allows marble floors to go to ruin? Plus dirty chair legs, showing how little they care for their furniture and guests.

Food was tasty, pad Thai was a good portion! Also very impressed with their vegetarian menu. Staff was very kind and friendly. Definitely will be coming back :)

Instantly regretted ordering from this place when I opened up the takeout boxes because of the strong smell of something dirty like drain water. I’m guessing the food was stale. It cleared up a little after a couple of mins, and overall the food looked fine so we gave it a shot. The house curry was pretty average, nothing great to say about it but it was better of the two things we got. The pad ke mao was gross. I normally love prawns and was excited to try this dish, but I never want to eat this again. Smelled terrible and tasted stale.

We've been thinking about trying this restaurant for some time now, and I'm very glad we did. Our past Thai favorite, Champa Garden, seems to have gone downhill. Charm Thai Bistro, our new favorite, is much closer. We split an appetizer, the puff pastry turnovers, which we never had in Thailand. The waiter told us that they were street food. Whatever, they're delicious. Then we had a Pad Thai (very good) and a green curry. I thought it was perfect, but it was a little spicy for my husband, so if you prefer a milder spiced dish, tell the waiter. I can't wait to try their other curries and house specialties. I might even try the Black Sticky Rice Mango pudding, even though after having it in Thailand, it's always something of a disappointment in the U.S.

Got the garlic noodle (comes with Shrimps) for takeout. First things first - LOVE the amount of garlic. Do not eat this on a date ha! It was so garlicky and so so good. 5/5 for the garlic and flavor. Where I have to bump it down a star is the noodles. It's your typical spaghetti noodle and it was over cooked and too soft. I prefer an al dente noodle or ideally, a toothsome fat fresh egg noodle if I'm dreaming.

Having tried many many thai restaurants in Berkeley and Oakland, Charm has become my go-to in the last year or so. The khao soi, duck noodle soup, and seafood pumpkin curry are a few of my favorites but everything I’ve tried here has been spot on. Service is excellent, food is delicious, and prices are good. There are also lots of vegetarian options that my girlfriend enjoys. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth stopping by.Vegetarian options: My vegetarian girlfriend loves the veggie menu here. They can also accommodate tofu substitutions for some dishes that aren’t labelled as vege.

Truly wonderful place. Charm is a great restaurant along Piedmont. Service is kind and knowledgeable.Large menu with plenty of authentic options. A whole page of specials including lamb with saffron rice were excellent. Enjoyed my pad thai modified to be vegetarian. I would definitely ask for spicy options in the future. The inside was cute! Little arrangements on each table, sprawling marble counter tops. Decor along the walls was a chef’s kiss for this thai restaurant. Would definitely come back again.Vegetarian options: There a vegetarian menu available and standard options such as pad Thai can be modified to be vegetarian as well

Yet there was only 2 pcs of each . Never hard this kind of Pad Thai . Also the lady charged me for Rice $4 yet I was about to walk out the door I looked in the bag missing rice ... I understand things happen but too many issues the first and last time. NO THAnks I rather go to Thai Taste Kitchen

Amazing. Thai. Food. Their curry is really good. The Khao Soi was all of our favorites. It had a deep and flavorful taste that didn't feel too greasy. With a good balance of crispy texture from the fried noodle on top, and acidic from the pickled cabbage and lime. The restaurant is a bit small but cozy. And the service tries as hard as they can to accommodate everyone. One of my fave thai places in Oakland!
