Friendly! Helpful service. Delicious food. Made with love! Seating is limited. Check out the hip People’s Store next door!
Dietary restrictions: They asked us specifically if we had any dietary restrictions.

During one of our day trip from Manteca, we were craving some Caribbean cuisine, and we stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. To our delight, we discovered that it serves authentic Trinidadian food, which was a delightful surprise, especially since my partner is from Trinidad.
From the moment we walked in, my partner immediately felt a sense of nostalgia, chatting with the staff and other customers from Trinidad as if they were family. It was heartwarming to see the connection and hospitality that radiated from this family-run business.
Now, let’s talk about the food! We indulged in a feast that included curry goat roti , salt fish fritters, wings, as well as the tender oxtail that melted in our mouths. Each dish was bursting with flavor, making it clear that Chef Ann takes pride in their craft. The ginger beer was incredibly refreshing, and I even tried mauby juice which is definitely an acquired taste but worth experiencing!
If you're looking for authentic Trinidadian food that feels cozy and homey, this is the spot for you. The drive was absolutely worth it, and we can’t wait to come back for more. Highly recommend !

We tried all the vegetarian roti and curry and sweet and spicy doubles last night and it was all delicious! Not an easy thing to find roti and curry in the US and we will definitely return anytime we’re in the area. There’s not a lot of indoor dining space but we sat outside and the staff was generous and working hard.
Vegetarian options: Many vegan/vegetarian options!

I would say the food was good. I did really like the mini peace cobbler was my favorite from what I ordered. One thing I would recommend the restaurant is to please hire more staff since it seems for many people that they I called to place an order of food people wanted more than an hour. I myself came in an hour after I called assuming food was ready but they had ran out of one ítem and I waited for that for 20 more minutes. I was being patient but I think this shouldnt happen often and if it is then that means they need new staff. Other than that food was good!

I ordered food to go for my wife and I. Immediately walking in, I was greeted with a smile. Chef Anne and her staff are amazingly warm and welcoming.
I am originally from Brooklyn, NY. with a West Indian bloodline. I love some tasty Carribbean food. My wife and I moved to Cali back in Feb. and have yet to have Carribbean food. So I chose this spot.
I ordered the $60 package, which was 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Oh and a Roti. I ordered this much so we coyote share and taste everything to see what we like.
I ordered:
Appetizers: Fish Fritters (Not really a fan) and Plantains (Wish they were fried a little more)
Entrees: Oxtails (It was okay) and Curry Goat ( Lacked spice, but had flavor).. Rice and Peas (Bland)
Chicken Roti (Needed more chicken) .. but the skin, potatoes, curry and beans def on point.
Drinks: Ginger Beer (Definitely pure), Sorrel ( Delicious), Blueberry...Matcha..Lemonade (Delicious) and Calm-Aid (Tasty)
Deserts: Mango Cobbler and Currant Roll (Not a fan)
Received salad (Delicious) and Jerk Wings (Delicious).
Overall...we will most likely not return😀

The food is good but the service is absolutely atrocious. They don’t seem to have a system of taking orders and made us wait an hour for the food. No apology either.

Food was pretty good but on the expensive side for almost 40 dollars for one plate should at least have bigger portions

I am from Trinidad born and raised so I was excited to find some trini food in the Bay area. Some things on the menu are good, others a miss. The phlourie was great; piping hot, soft and fluffy. The doubles on the other hand was like a sandwhich. The Chana and condiments were so thick that it actually held together like a sandwhich and it wasn't very tasty. The chicken roti was ok, could use better seasoning.

I really can't comment on the food because I saw the staff out side with the rubber gloves on touching stuff and that was a turn off. Plus they are soooo....slow! I went there to pick an order & was told that the order would be ready in 7-10 min. It turned into 27 -30+ min. There was a lady there and I told her I was picking up 2 orders, and I gave her their names....Prior to that I called because they rrrrrr soooo slow....They really need to relocate, because they don't seem to have room & they always have a different staff. After waiting almost 30+ min. This same lady said I had a weird spirit & she assumed that I was going to take some of my customers food! The audacity of her! I personally will never spend 10¢ with them, because of this rude comment this lady made. Thanks to my customer that gave me an online tip & a cash tip for having to wait so long!

I ordered the Whole Fried Fish & was given half a fish head & two small fish nuggets. I spoke with Chef Anne about it and that conversation alone made me decide I won’t be returning to this neighborhood spot. Instead of giving me a refund, they gave me a promo code to purchase the fish again & the promo code expires in like 6 weeks. I won’t use the promo code because there’s no way I’m eating here again. But, I’ll share the promo code here for anyone who needs a free meal. Hopefully you receive a whole fish instead of half of a fish head. Promo code: THANKYOUFAITH. I think it’s valid on DoorDash & the website

This review is based on the fact that I am born and raised Trini, so the low rating of the food should be viewed from that perspective. Other than that, non-trinis may rate it much higher. Well, unfortunately, I can't rate this place a five. This is my 3rd try at this establishment because i really want some food from home. But the food does not live up to Trini food standards. Sorry, but it's true. However, it's always busy, and the food is liked/good by the standards of those who aren't Trini, and I think that's great! I've even recommended what to get and explained what the food was like to people who were waiting with me. The person in charge was very personable and gave some samples (free) so they could try my suggestions. That was great! The bad part was I got there and had to wait about an hour for my food. I didn't mind because I should have called ahead. It's a very popular place. Unfortunately, they don't have sufficient help. The food itself, according to my family and self, is not as good as it could be. I had chicken and goat roti, doubles, and pholourie. The pholourie was the only thing we liked every time. Oh, the sorrel is legit, too.
