This man, Ben has the best brisket falling off the bone the best beef ribs, falling off the bone the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever tasted in my life with a white sauce that is out of this world his greens will make you wanna smack your mama hands down. This is the best barbecue staple we have in Oakland, California. Please check him out. I ordered my food sit down and ate it and had to get up and order another plate to go. It was so delicious.

Crazy Block Cheese is my new favorite BBQ spot in Oakland! I love everything about this place the anime artwork is dope, and the atmosphere has great energy. The owner, Ben, was really friendly and enthusiastic. He takes time to engage with all his customers and takes pride in the fresh-made food and sauces.
My wife and I ordered the three-protein combo meal, and it was more than enough for both of us. We had the beef rib, brisket, and pulled chicken, all were juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sauces were hella good too. For sides, we got the mac and cheese and cornbread. They accidentally gave us collard greens at first but Ben fixed it right away, no problem. The cornbread was also really good! The beef ribs and brisket is my favorite.
This is hands down the best value meal you can get. Most BBQ spots overcharge and leave you disappointed, but here you get high-quality food at a fair price. I also love that they use local ingredients. Great food, great vibe, good music, great people perfect spot to bring friends or family.

Everything we ordered was delicious and super flavorful. Standouts for me were the brisket, lamb, mac & cheese, and candied yams. The cheesecake was great too. Not to mention the latkes which were also awesome.
The value here is fantastic and this is the first BBQ restaurant I’ve eaten at in a long time where I feel like running back immediately so I can try more menu items. The staff were kind and you can really tell that the food is made with love and genuine passion.

I stumbled onto this place and walked inside after smelling the bbq wafting outside. The food is insanely good. They have traditional bbq plates and sandwiches, but also offer salmon and jackfruit, which is rare to see at bbq places. Probably the best latkes and candied yams I’ve had in Oakland.

I bought an exercise bike so I could keep eating here. Food is amazing! Coleslaw best I’ve ever had, brisket best in the bay and so juicy. Cheesecake OMG words cannot explain. Only thing I don’t understand is how they provide amazing food at an amazing price. Staff super welcoming, friendly and always smiling.

Paradise Vision
I went to Crazy Block Cheesecake, and overall the food was solid. The smoked lamb and brisket were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and cooked just right. The lamb fries were really good as well. The ribs were decent, but if they had that true smoky taste and were fall-off-the-bone tender, they’d definitely be a top seller.
The sides were a bit mixed for me. The yams had too much cinnamon, the mac and cheese was decent, and I didn’t really enjoy the beans or greens. On the other hand, the coleslaw for the sandwiches was really delicious and stood out.
As for the cheesecake, it wasn’t bad, but I feel like most of them taste very similar, just with different names.
