Great spot with fun outdoor seating, but the food is sub-par and overpriced, especially compared to the rest of the options in the east bay

Great place to go with kids.

Love this place. It's rare that a vegetarian taco beats a carnitas taco but this place really delivers

When I'm visiting Oakland I always make a few stops at Doña. The food is fantastic, the drinks are amazing and the service is fast and lovely. We pretty much get the cauliflower tostada every time, so much so that it's my desert island meal! I will never tire of it. But there is so much more, tacos, beans & rice, guac & chips, margaritas and a fantastic tequila & mezcal selection. Gracias to the team, muy delicioso.

Faaaaaast service. We ordered and walked up the steps to grab a seat. The waiter was already out with the food. The best flavor was the guacamole of what we had. The soup was pretty good lots of tortillas. The chicken enchiladas with mole were good as well. The atmosphere was great pleasant and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the weather . The strawberry horchata was yummy

The food is decent, but IMHO the menu is rather limited

I absolutely love Doñas! The fish burrito is flavorful and very filling. You can never go wrong with their chips and salsa. The margaritas are solid, and they make a strawberry horchata that is incredibly addicting. The service is always friendly, and the outdoor seating is a vibe on a sunny day. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area, but it’s not a major issue. Without a doubt, they have the best burritos in the North Oakland area! 🌯

Best fish taco I've ever had!! Beautiful setting as well, in a nice area of Oakland (we do have nice areas, it's not all tent cities like media would have you believe)

Parking: There are a bunch of places nearby, a lot of cool little stores

Kid-friendliness: Safe and I saw a lot of children around

Doña's food is superb! My friends like it for their vegetarian and vegan options, which didn't matter to me until I tasted them. Their relleno is one of the best dishes I've ever tasted!

Vegetarian options: Cool staff, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, alcohol, and specialty drinks.

Wheelchair accessibility: The building (shared with a few other businesses) has an elevator to reach upstairs indoor and outdoor seating, both of which are also available on the ground floor.

The food is pretty good. Their bowls are yummy and a great deal. The drinks are good, too. I plan to go back. The only thing I didn't like is that I paid an extra $5 to add veggies to my burrito, and they just added a couple of pieces of pumpkin.

Lovely little restaurant at the end of Piedmont avenue. Lots of space. Indoor and outdoor. Food is very nice and they serve you quick. You have to order up at the front. There's no table service.

Can get crowded and the inside may be a little bit noisy but overall a lovely place to visit on Piedmont avenue.

This place is so incredibly fire it’s so good, the service is also SO quick like it looks like it will take a while because the line is sometimes long but the food comes out so fast and it’s so good and omg I just can’t even describe it this is one of my favorite places of all time. It’s also nice to sit in, especially upstairs. Yum!!!

Food is very middling - queso is closer to ballpark than good Mexican, dishes like enchiladas don't come with any beans / rice / sides, burritos are less a plated meal and more in foil like takeout, etc. They have not-very-good 'batch' margaritas for a whopping $14, and more normal made-at-the-bar ones for a $1 upsell.

The bar is too busy and servers there mostly avoid your gaze until they have time, which keeps you a good bit longer than you'd really like.

If you're looking for a decent sit-down mexi joint, I'd skip and find something else.

The food is delicious, but what I love best about Dona is you can always find a table, even with a good sized group!
