RIP Dopo, a true and literal Mom & Pop. As close as one can get to 'real' Italian (Sicilian) food one can get without being in Italy; maintaining the ethos of predominantly locally sourced, seasonal ingredient driven dishes--the backbone of Italian Cuisine. Read, not Italian-American. I grieve for Jon and Kayta and their long-term employees, who've poured their hearts into this restaurant for 17 years, only to get the shit-end of the stick. I implore all of you to support their sister restaurant, Pollara, as they more than deliver.

No no no. I'm going to cry. This was my most favorite restaurant. Went back in March 2020 and it was wonderful like it used to be. I thought Dopo was better than many restaurants in NYC. I'm so sad. Does anyone know if Dopo will reopen?

My first time here and I have to say I love the ambience. Outside patio is really cool and pretty. I had breakfast food. It was good.

I was heartbroken when I found out Dopo is closing. I have wonderful memories of great food, great wine, great service and great company here. I can't imagine life without a Dopo pizza, Little Gem salad, and glass of red wine. You will not be forgotten.

Been going here a few years, when it was half the size.. food & service consistently top notch. Pizzas like I"ve had in Italy, lasagna like from home. They'll usually make a calzone of your pizza, ask nice.

Yummy Fried chicken!!! I find myself craving Dopo. Love the collard greens...very southern flavor, mashed potato is creamy and delicious. The Pecan Pie was excellent but overpriced at $6 a slice!! Would be great if they lowered it to $3 a slice.

Quality pizza with unique crust. Not chewy like traditional, more crunchy, almost cheese cracker crust. Bake at home pasta was average, but the ricotta was delicious.

Been here for brunch and Friday night dinner - excellent food and service. Had the grilled peach salad with buratta cheese -sooo delish! The hubs had the tomato soup and grilled cheese and I had a chance to take a bite of the sandwich - also delish! The atmosphere is fun - louder toward the back of the restaurant. Front of the restaurant a good place to people watch on the street. Definitely recommend this place

Pre-covid this place was a guaranteed gettin some first date night spot... that's facts. My son was consummated after dinner here. Sit at the bar. Order a f*** you bottle of wine, couple pastas ( trust me you'll be disappointed with just one) a main or two and the Pana cotta whenever they have it. Done. Hormones pumping, pheromones through the roof. Get ready to have babies after food here. Can be a little pretentious but it's the people there (piedmont) not the staff. The staff, front and back of the house have my whole heart.

Had dinner there with the pre fixe menu for $45 each. Had bee n for lunch several times recently and dinner quite a few years ago, so we didn't expect this. Our friend visiting from Manhattan was throughly impressed by the food. Casual atmosphere and totally gourmet without the foam etc. Every dish was delicious! From the friendly greeting through the excellent Salumi (cold cuts) choice, great salad, a wonderful surprisingly good soup to the cappuccino - all great. Not to forget a very well fitting white wine rounded it all off.... Would definitely recommend.

I friendly from the minute you walk in the door. Then the helpful waitperson cares for you, the chef prepared. Yes ed a deli cious plate of food. Problem is, your partner selected something else that looks even better. That's for "next time" l will be back! Yes! Va.

We've been going to Dopo for years, loving it always. In the last couple of years, my husband and I go mostly for lunch, which is always delicious. We always share the Little Gem Salad, with its delicious anchovy dressing. My husband loves the Diavolo pizza while I adore the arancini stuffed with pork ragu. A couple of weeks ago, I tried a new arancini - stuffed with orange and fennel - delicious!!! Ricardo always takes good care of us whether we sit inside or at one of the tables on the street. When the sun is shining and the pandemic is over, that will be the place for us to be once again. In the meantime, we can dream - and order takeout!

Wonderful food and wonderful service! We got the nine plate dinner. With it we could sample all the anti-pasta's menu items, split a first and second course entrée and we each got a dessert. The lasagna was a highlight, as was the house made Ricota and cauliflower. We will definitely make it back to try the pizza and Panini's at lunch next time!
