Incredible gem of Oakland. This place takes you back to Pop Tate's from Archie comics with its retro ice cream menu and servers dressed in uniforms. Seating is chaotic and the line always boils out into the streets, which can be an issue when it's cold.
The flavors are varied and very interesting. The ice cream is made on premises and extremely creamy and delicious. The bubblegum flavor was the most interesting of them all!
They also have a brunch menu that I intend to try out at some point.

Came here with my brother visiting from Anchorage, he always comes to Fenton's at least once! This time however, $20 for a small old smelling Patty Melt and fries, they basically kicked us out by loudly stacking chairs on top of tables! It was only 10:15pm, So Rude! I will Never be back!

It's always a good time at Fenton's. Delicious crab sandwiches with ice cream sundaes on the side. Yum! Brandon, Oscar and Alonzo were amazing when we were there for my Bday. I say Crab sandwiches and a Banana Special for all! 🖤
Parking: It's very loud. It can be hard for people with hearing aids but, everyone is too busy chowing down to be too bothered.
Kid-friendliness: It's great for the whole family 0-120
Wheelchair accessibility: A little tight, but they accommodate.
4 generations of our family LOVE Fenton's, we come to either location 3-4 times annually... Family faves include the crab sandwich (with curly fries), Myrtle's Special (updated monthly) and the build-your-own Sundaes... You literally can't go wrong with the diner fare for eats and you must save room for at least a scoop of one of their amazing flavors of ice cream!!! They're so many to choose from! Most recently we visited for a family birthday and were cared for by the wonderful staff... Kudos to Brandon and Alonzo for another great experience 🥳😚🤌🏼
Parking: Parking is tight (it's Piedmont! 😅) bring your patience with parking but the struggle is worth it

This is Heaven for an ice cream lover. They also have a delicious array of burgers and sandwiches. The French Fries are top notch. Always friendly staff.

We came here on a Saturday night. The place was packed. There was eight of us. We were seated quickly. Server came out fast and took great care of us. The food and ice cream came out much faster than I expected. First time being there. We will be back!!
