Perfect for dinner spot before watching a show at the Fox theater. It's trendy but not over the top hip.The drinks are excellent and the food is nothing to complain about. The only problem that you'll have is with reservation. Most likely the prime time slots on a show night will be taken up. But if you don't care for the opening bands, then it should be much easier (reservation at 7:30pm - walk across to see the headline by 9pm).
About a month ago a coworker and I came here to kill time due to 12th and 19th street BART stations being shut down due to a possible active shooter situation. Flora had just opened for dinner service. We did not have reservations so we were seated right away. Flora had always been on my wishlist to eat at so when I discovered Brown Sugar Kitchen was open that day to try for the second time, I settled with Flora for us to go to. The small plates were delish. The ambiance was awesome too. I went because they're closing and I've always wanted to go. My mom Flora passed away 3 months ago and I wanted to make sure I made it.
