Think of the part last time you ate teriyaki...dried chicken with a bunch of gross sauce. This place perplexed me... the chicken and shrimp are perfectly cooked, with just enough sauce. The care in the prep is beyond anything you'd expect for what you'd think is a simple dish. I honestly can't think of another place that makes food this juicy, and with care. Clean, fresh, simple Japanese meals. They cook everything to order and don't over-sauce their food like a lot of Americanized Japanese restaurants. Great mom-and-pop place run by a hardworking family.
Wen and her husband are salt of the earth types who make wholesome Japanese-style set lunches. My go-to order is the grilled shrimp and teriyaki chicken combo — the proteins have a bit of char on them that is just downright yummy.
