We got the tempura shrimp and was over cooked the chicken was great but not great but there was no sides dishes you typically get when it comes to Korean bbq. So the experience was not great it was a let down and probably the worst Korean bbq joint I been to sadly. Also it’s over priced

I went there on Thursday evening, and the female staff serving was so kind. I filled my beer glass with ice and mixed lemon with soju, and she brought me lemon with a kind smile. The food is quite palatable. I didn't have a parking space, so I had to park somewhere else and walk, but I think it will be a good memory.

Absolutely loved this Korean-style izakaya in the Bay Area! 🏮 A perfect late-night spot for fried chicken, hot pot, and Korean street food vibes — open until 12:30am, which is a huge plus!
Here’s what we tried and loved:
🥣 Clam Soup – Don’t let the clear broth fool you. It’s packed with fresh, juicy clams and tastes incredibly light yet flavorful. A perfect palate cleanser after all the fried dishes.
🍗 Korean Fried Chicken – A must-try! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in flavorful sauces (soy garlic, sweet & spicy, or original). What I loved most is that they serve whole chopped chicken, not just wings – so satisfying and tasty!
🐔 Fried Whole Chicken – Similar to a spring chicken — small but tender and full of flavor. Super crispy skin without being greasy. Dangerously addictive!
🦑 Sizzling Squid on Hot Plate – Served piping hot and sizzling! The squid was tender and well-seasoned, paired with onions and a bold Korean sauce. Great with rice or drinks!
🍲 Army Stew (Budae Jjigae) – Ultimate comfort food. Loaded with ramen, tofu, spam, rice cakes, and more in a rich, spicy broth. Warms you right up!
🎵 The atmosphere is lively and cozy — like a Korean street bar with K-pop music playing and warm lighting. Great for hanging out with friends, date night, or even just grabbing a drink and chicken solo.
Delicious, affordable, and full of late-night charm. Definitely coming back!

Food and vibe are on spot! Love this place. Fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had in the Bay Area. The grape soda is a must!
I don’t understand some 2-3 stars comments mentioning fried chicken being oily - Hey come on it’s deep fried that’s why it’s so crispy outside and juicy inside! 🤣; or complains about food being pricey - I mean it’s a bit more expensive than LA k-town for sure but excuse me and look at where we are! Plus their portion is huuuuge! The meal we paid fed us two whole meals.
The first time we went is when the chef was researching for new dishes and we ended up having samples! By samples I mean two huge Jumeok-bap for free! That’s the best Jumeok-bap I’ve ever had. Even better than the ones I had when I was traveling in Korea.
Anyway it will always be our to-go Korean restaurant in Oakland.

Restaurantji Recommends
A very cute Korean place with good vibes. The menu has a wide variety of food, Korean stew, fried chicken, and even marinated raw crab. Price is very reasonable given that the portion is quite large, it is recommended to visit this place as a big group so you get to try more food.
They also open till late, so it will be a pretty good spot for those who want some late night food and drinks.

I was craving spicy marinated crab so badly lately — and I can’t believe I found such a gem so close to home after living here for a year!
Their spicy marinated crab is amazing: super fresh, soft, and flavorful. Wrap it with rice and seaweed, or just mix it into a big bowl of rice — it’s heaven.
We also tried their Hanshin Dakbal (spicy braised chicken feet), pork mozzarella cheese fondue, and sweet & spicy fried chicken. Everything was delicious, well-cooked, and full of flavor.
Definitely one of my new favorite Korean spots in Oakland. Can’t wait to come back again!

Hanshin Dakbal 👏👏👏👏👏
Spicy stir-fried chicken feet—super flavorful and tender! Served sizzling in an iron pan, incredibly satisfying. Must pair with rice and take a big bite.
Gochu Maneul Chicken 👏👏👏👏👏
Sweet and savory garlic soy fried chicken—crispy outside, juicy inside. Every piece is evenly coated in sauce. Absolutely delicious!
Spicy Marinated Crab 👏👏👏👏
Authentic seasoning. Personally, I don’t find it very spicy. Love mixing the crab meat and sauce into rice and adding some crushed seaweed. So good!
DIY Rice Ball 👏👏👏👏👏
Golden tuna rice balls are a must! You can make them smaller, but we were lazy and made four giant lion heads 😂
Fishcake Soup 👏👏
Soup is fresh, but the fishcake texture is a bit firm—kind of like tofu.
Gummy Bear Soju 👏👏👏👏👏
Surprised they serve soju with gummy bears! Definitely eat the gummies after drinking—somehow tastes even better! 🍻
Randomly stumbled into this restaurant while my husband and I visit the Berkeley for the summer. Omg this place is soo good that we drove to here twice in two weeks!! Almost becomes our comfort food now! And they close at 11 pm! Their spicy chicken feet stew is soo good, as well as both their fried chicken and japchae. Highly recommend it
Grilled Whole Squid: The portion was huge—it caught my attention. The flavor was super rich and deeply marinated. It’s that kind of chewy squid that still bites clean.
Hanshin Dakbal (Korean Spicy Chicken Feet): fall-off-the-bone spicy chicken feet. The heat really hits if you’re into spicy food—you have to try it! (And don’t worry, if you can’t handle spicy , they provide clear soup to dip and balance it out!)
Sweet & Spicy Boneless Fried Chicken + Fried Rice Cake: The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy inside. It’s sweet and spicy in flavor (but really not spicy at all!). The rice cakes were a surprise—crispy outside but soft inside, nothing like the usual sticky kind I don’t like. What’s amazing is that they still taste good even after sitting for a while!
Bulgogi Hot Pot: The sweet-savory balance was just right, and yes—you can drink the soup! Inside were beef and mushroom glass noodles, super tender and flavorful.
DIY Rice Balls: These were so fun to make! You mix and shape them yourself. They give you tons of crispy seaweed that smells incredible once mixed, plus a generous drizzle of mayo—rich, savory, and satisfying in every bite!
P.S. Looks like their soy marinated raw crab is a signature dish, but unfortunately we don’t eat raw seafood, so we skipped it. If you like it, definitely go for it! This place is close late too, perfect for drink soju and late night dinner with friends.
