Hyphy Burger is a home grown restaurant of native Oaklanders with locations in West and East Oakland. The customer service is amazing, with friendly staff who provide great smiles and attitudes. The places are very clean. The food is excellent, smacking, and delicious, with better flavor and taste than other well-known chains. Burgers like the Hyphy burger and burnout burger with jalapeños are recommended. The loaded fries, often with cheese and a pastrami-like meat or a patty on top, are a standout and do not disappoint. Generous portions of French fries come with pepper. The vegan black bean burger is also tasty. For shakes, the fruity pebbles shake, lucky charm shake, and cocoa pebbles milkshake are all pretty good and delicious. Warm fruity pebbles donuts are also available. The overall experience is on point and highly recommended, with decent wait times, especially at the less busy East Oakland location. The art is very TOWNish and very Oakland original. While the West Oakland location is crazy busy, it is worth the wait. The parking area can be small.
