This was pretty awesome. I love donuts, and I love ice cream, but I'd never thought to combine the two! I ordered a cookies and cream donut, and holy cow, it was so good. 1. This is a must-have if you're in the area. 2. The ice cream donut combo is *specifically the must-have. If you're ever gone to your favorite donut shop and asked for a donut *hot off the press, that's what this was like. A warm, fresh donut but with some partially soupy ice cream inside haha. I docked a star only because there didn't seem to be much ice cream (picture below), but hey, maybe it was just a bad luck of the draw. I would still come back, because it's a pretty unique dessert. I actually came here end of 2021 -- it's looks like they closed temporarily until mid 2022. Leaving this review, so they hopefully reopen to a warm welcome!

Consider this a very late review. I did not know the location but happened upon it after dinner with my friend. I really enjoyed the contrasting hot and cold dessert with a warm donut and ice cream. Hard to go wrong with such a dessert.

Okay , have you ever had a hot donut with cold ice cream before ?! Because I sure have not. This is a pick up to go ice cream stand next door to burns superstar in Oakland. It was pretty delicious. You have to eat it right away as the ice cream melts fast. The combination of the two was very good.

Great place, great ice cream, and great service! We got the ube and coconut ice creams in a donut and it was delicious! Anjuna was really helpful and she gave us plenty of samples and tons of options. 10/10 would recommend!

I was really looking forward to this place. Who can't get behind the idea of ice cream inside a donut? I've had churro ice cream sandwiches and loved them. I ordered the chocolate ice cream donut sandwich; it comes standard with a glazed donut. It came out quickly after I placed my order. As others have said it's tricky to eat, I found working around the edges 360 degrees to be the most effective way. Sadly, the result was ice cream I didn't care for inside a donut I didn't care for. They were both "meh" and together the result was "meh". I read the ice cream was homemade small batch using local ingredients...I really don't want to sound mean but I would've preferred Clover brand. I'm not sure what kind of donuts they use, but maybe upping the product there could improve the end package? Don't know. Given the many outstanding reviews I'm obviously in the minority here but just my 2 cents.
This ice cream shop is is literally a hole in the wall, but it is worth stopping by between 6 and 9:30 pm. Their ice cream is made in small batches by the East Bay Ice Cream Company (a local business).We stopped here (when we were just walking by) because we never heard of a Ice Cream Donut. Well, it is for real!!! It is super FRESH! It doesn't last long because when they hand it to you the donut is hot...and it is melting the ice cream.Tip: buy one I Scream Donut and share it with a good friend. Take turns nibbling and licking the work of culinary art. Make sure your hands are clean before you start so you can lick your fingers. I guess if you are really good friends--you lick each other's fingers. If you finish the whole thing, and your are still hungry--order another one.

Located on a beautiful street with is surroundings, lovely and friendly service great food delicious donuts and the ice cream is the best!!!!!

Came here after dinner at Burma Superstar. Remember to check the hours (they only operate during the evening). Service was fast and efficient. No seating, you literally just grab and go. What was ordered: Thai tea ($5): solid Thai tea ice cream. The normal place I go to for this flavor was out of stock and I must say that this is a good alternative. Full of flavor, very creamy, and the cone was delicious. Cookies and cream ($5): my friend says it tastes like the average cookies and cream you would get. Good but nothing out of the ordinary. Great treat to enjoy while the sun is still out on a beautiful summer day.
