I’ve always loved Burma Superstar and I rarely leave reviews but I was so impressed with the staff there tonight. They took such good care of us. My niece who has celiac was visiting and they were so accommodating and really made sure everything we ordered was gluten free and wouldn’t have cross contamination. My friend had been assuring me that Burma Superstar is a must if ever in Oakland. My 3rd trip to town in 2 years eventually led to me following up, and I'm glad he did. Called ahead to get a table on a Friday night and still waited an hour. But the wait was worth it! Some of the best food I've ever had at any restaurant. Tea leaf salad meets all the hype! Amazing! Cozy lil spot with a great bar and excellent food. We tried the mint chicken, Burmese style lamb curry, tea leaf salad, Burmese samusas, and the pumpkin chicken stew. Every dish was flavorful and got great reviews from everyone at the table. Looking forward to my next visit!!
