Small menu, but every item done very well. Friendly and attentive staff. I ordered an eggs Benedict with blackened cod. The kids burger is basically the same as the adult burger but slightly cheaper. The kids chicken strips is the same chicken that comes with the chicken and waffles. My family enjoyed it and the hot chocolate was tasty.

Seriously undercooked waffles. The fried chicken gets mixed up with Maple syrup and it's not sweet and spicy anymore but just sweet.

They had pretty good food I have the chicken and waffles but didn't wait 2 take pictures cuz I was awful hungry but would highly suggested service could be a little bit better but they should be working on it overall place was really good food and a nice ambience

One of the best breakfast spots in the Bay Area hands down! I always get the chicken and waffles with a side of potatoes. The chicken is seasoned wonderfully and cooked to a tender perfection! The potatoes have a great golden-brown color and just melt in your mouth. The place is small, but there is never a problem finding space for you to sit, dine, and have an exceptional breakfast and relax while admiring the lovely interior decor. The staff are extremely polite and genuine. Ivy Moon is definitely a place I recommend whenever I am asked where to eat in Oakland!

Almost there. THE HELP WANTED SIGN makes sense. Great decor, the brick walls take me to a familiar place back east. The tv is there just in case you want to watch. The FOOD delicious, we devoured the Louisiana hash and the chicken and waffles. I had to send the hash back to redo my egg, and the hot version was delicious. That tells me the food sat for too long the first time. Each mouthful of waffle missed the warm savory bite expected. Although small the place gets busy and two servers are not enough. We visited on a Sunday for brunch and it took way too long for someone to clean our table, offer water and then take our order. The service isn't so horrible that we can't come back I just hope it improves.

Simply said, it's the service. It sucks. Food was good. I would give just the food 4 stars and if service was good, or decent, 5 stars... but no. They let us sit outside, in a cold rainy day, for over 20 minutes without greeting us, or offer us some hot beverage. I asked for sugar and milk 3 times, once I got my coffee, and by the time I got the sugar, she forgot the milk... and a spoon... then I got the milk and my coffee was cold... no refills, because they don't check up on your table to see if you need anything or if the food is good. Don't go inside to ask for anything, everytime I did it I was told they will come to my take which they didn't... bottom line, I won't see you again guys. Good luck, I hope you'll figure out how restaurant service work.

This place is fantastic! I ordered the cod sandwich and I added avocado and it was so tasty and filling. I would recommend this place if you are ever in Oakland. I ordered to go, but the atmosphere is very welcoming and has great energy!

Beautiful presentation and preparation of food. Plates taste great but the french toast was a little soggy toward the end of the meal. Still left feeling full after completely clearing my plate. Also the staff is so kind and loving to each other and thier customers.
