Tried the Omurice. Loved it. Good variety in the menu, and the lively cafe vibe makes your lunch special!

Food and service was excellent!
Go-to for a solid breakfast or brunch! So many tempting choices on the menu that it’s hard to decide. The food always comes out fresh, fast, and looking great.

This place was very good! Little hole in the wall but great food, cool vibe and setting. Gotta try the deep fried French toast, chicken burger and mango mimosa!

Great service and food. My wife I had breakfast here three times during our one week stay in Oakland (Rockridge).

Had brunch here for the first time and it was a very nice experience. Food was excellent as was the service. We had reservations and got a nice table outside. For such a busy place, I have to say that I never felt rushed and the service across the board was excellent. I can’t wait to go back and try more if the options in the menu.

It’s been 45 min sitting next to the garbage cans and still haven’t gotten our food. They also forgot my drink… 😢🤢😤

I didn't want to leave a bad review-I used to work in the food industry, and don't have interest in putting you guys on blast-but I was very disappointed with my experience at your restaurant last weekend. I actually wrote an email but never heard back, so I am writing a review. I came with my 2.5 year old-always a challenge to eat out with a toddler, I acknowledge that. It took 30 minutes for anyone to even take our order (this was with a reservation). After >1 hour, I asked the staff how long it would be for our food, and they said another 5-10 minutes. We ordered the chicken and waffle small plate. It looked like your staff were working incredibly hard, but no one apologized or offered even a piece of toast to my (crying) daughter who was just waiting for a waffle. We just left without eating, went down the street to another restaurant, and got a waffle to go in five minutes. I won't be dining at your restaurant again, but maybe give folks a heads up about how long it will take to actually eat-I hope the next family who dines at your restaurant doesn't have the experience I did.

Phenomenal brunch flavors are worth the wait (and sore bum)!
Kitchen Story is an epic brunch spot. If you're planning a weekend visit, I definitely recommend making a reservation, or be prepared for a bit of a wait.
I met a friend here for Sunday brunch, and we ordered an assortment of plates and beverages to share. Everything was delicious and repeatable, but here's my order of personal preference for the food:
Korean FC Wings: Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely standout.
Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: Perfectly fluffy, and bright flavors on perfectly prepared pancakes.
Goji Bowl: A solid, satisfying savory option.
For beverages, the Ube Latte and the Millionaire's Bloody Mary were the stars of the show. Their house coffee and unsweetened passion fruit iced tea were good, but fairly standard.
My only suggestion for management would be to invest in more comfortable seating, but honestly, it was worth the sore bum to enjoy all those delicious flavors! I will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.

Clueless and arrogant staff. We arrived at the restaurant at around 9:30 on a Sunday. There was no line and a bunch of available tables outside but the restaurant was full inside. One waiter asked us if we wanted to wait a few minutes for a table to free up inside, so we did. Then a rush of customers came and it got hectic. The staff stopped communicating with each other and ignored us. Some people got seated at the tables outside and others put their name on the wait list. We were forgotten and then was told we should have put our name on the list; completely disregarding the discussion we had. When I reminded them of the situation, they didn’t care. Very disappointed, we left.

The Millionaire Bacon BLT is amazing and the chicken wings. Service unfortunately is super slow. My granddaughter hated that she only got 1 crayon to color.

Had great time. We went around 1:30 and it was packed! Put our name on the waitlist and got sat in 15-20 minutes. The food was phenomenal. The bacon (not pictured) was fire, definitely recommend!
