If you're looking for a fun and diverse set of chocolates to try then this is the place. I only took a pic of one portion of the options available and I'm told the selection grows during the holidays. I can't wait to come back and explore more options.
Pros: I enjoyed the classic hot chocolate and homes oreo cookie. I will be returning to try more hot chocolate. Five stars!
Cons: I ordered through the phone and the young man working tonight wasnt very helpful. I asked if they served hot chocolate he confirmed but then told me they close in a few mins (it was 45 mins till close). He didn't even ask what I was going to order. Great vibe, great sweets and chai, but sub-par customer service. Stopped a little before 8 pm for a chai and a treat. The Chocolate Dragon Bittersweet Cafe and Bakery is a beloved spot in Berkeley, known for its high-quality hot chocolates and mochas, along with a selection of pastries and gluten-free desserts. The cozy interior is often filled with students and locals enjoying a great social and communal vibe on weekends, where laptops are not allowed from Friday to Sunday, while the atmosphere is perfect for studying from Tuesday to Thursday. The "bittersweet" hot chocolate may be too sweet for some, but customers can request the "zero sugar" option, described as a delicious cacao espresso. Many customers love the Bittersweet European drinking chocolate and the unique coconut chill, which is considered the most unique cold chocolate drink they have ever tried. The cafe is open late and provides a nice alternative to coffee shops or bars. It also offers a variety of chocolate options, both dairy and dairy-free, and the helpful staff is always ready to assist customers in finding what suits their taste.
