There should be a line out the door at all times from this place. Everything I have ordered has been amazing, you can tell they really care about making good food. The birria is super flavorful, tender, and served with handmade tortillas. Incredible.

It said it was open, I drove from another city, and it turns out it wasn't open and there was no sign of anyone inside, it's unpleasant.

La Esquina (Taquerina La Esquina) is a hidden gem that you should absolutely try with amazing Mexican food. While taking an Uber from the Coliseum to the restaurant, my Uber driver (who works for FedEx) told me this restaurant was amazing. On the owner’s recommendation, I ordered the quesabirria tacos and a Coke at the window and then sat down at a table on their covered patio. The meal itself was perfectly cooked, and the atmosphere was low key in the absolute best way. All in all, the meal reminded me of many local neighborhood restaurants in Nogales and Hermosillo. If you are nearby, and want amazing authentic Mexican food, stop in and enjoy.

Mid tacosGot Carne, al pastor, lengua all three were mediocre
What a gem! A true find! A local eatery in East Oakland right on the corner of 99th and Macarthur. Family run serving Mexican food. The hand made tortillas make it worth the trip. The food was good. Had a homemade feel to it. The atmosphere made it feel like you stepped into an eatery in Mexico. Rustic and colorful. The place closes at 6:00 pm but may stay open longer once there are more people in the area. The signboard is misleading. The name says Taqueria de Maria. I believe it belonged to the previous owners.

Yes, but the dish is delicious and well-stocked. I highly recommend it.

Restaurant is great, but the website is a scam site and not affiliated with the restaurant. Google refuses to take it down despite the restaurant’s requests! What the heck GOOGLE?! Why are you ok with promoting thieves?!!!
Excellent food , you have the option of regular or hand made tortillas. The tacos were delicious, definitely would come back.

I ate here a few weeks ago, and I still think about it. The serving size was huge. The food was super tasty and filling. The staff was very friendly and made my two-year-old son feel very comfortable, and the ambiance was relaxed.
TLDR: everything about this place was great, and I highly recommend it if you like Mexican food
