Princess Cake NOT GOOD! I ordered an 8" Princess Cake for a BD. It wasn't even 2" high. They're usually 4"high. The fondant was old and chewy and tasted like paste. A knife was needed to eat this cake. The cake and cream were unremarkable. The 8 people it served did not like it! It cost $88! That's $11 a slice! I called the next day to see what the owner could do. She said she would pay me back $88. I went in the next day. She said I should have brought back the cake! She wouldn't pay me back after she told me she would. The lady fingers I ordered a few weeks ago were $4/each. A very expensive place with old, stale, bad tasting things. Never going back!

I ordered a Swedish Princess cake and am very happy with the cake and the customer service. They made it with fresh raspberries instead of the usual raspberry filling, and it was even more delicious. As others have noted, this bakery has been around a long time and I remember going as a child, so it was far too long for me to try again. I plan on buying all my future cakes from them!

My husband ordered an 8 inch strawberry charlotte for my birthday for March 2,2024. This is not the original version. New owners. The whipping cream in the charlotte had been whipped to almost butter. Paid $80 for 8 inch cake. Prices went up and quality in in the tank. I hope they improve because otherwise, they will not survive.

I was really pleased that Phoebe was able to make a cake for my fiancé on such a last minute basis, especially one that MANY bakeries don’t make for some reason (Funfetti). Great service and great cake. This is a really nice local business.

Never actually gone into this place, but years ago a dude with a bunch of tattoos and piercings gave me a free chocolate cookie and it was delicious so just for that the place gets 5 stars from me.

They have 2 locations, I went went to Oakland. Walked through a small glass door and immediately saw the display of variety of cookies and cakes. It looked like the strawberry cake would be their popular item. But I wasn't ready to take home a cake, so I selected 3 small items to try. Pecan pie - it was average but I like how it wasn't overly sweet Almond sandwich cookies - delicious Lemon cream cookies - the crust was too thick but I like the lemon wasn't too tart

I've been shopping at Ladyfingers not for years but for DECADES!It's a real gem, a genuine made-in-house bakery with a French pedigree...the quiche are amazing, my go-to birthday cake is a COCONUT CAKE WITH PINEAPPLE (special order). BUT, you have to try their CHOCOLATE MOUSSE which is amazingly good and made with Ghirardelli chocolate! Just a few spoonful's is all it will take. This is a treasure to enjoy!Parking: Parking is behind the bakery off Oakland Ave.

Stopped by spontaneously while on a hot girl walk, and got the lemon pound cake, a lemon bar, and upside down raspberry cake. All there were amazing and the lady who helped us was so nice!

The service was very friendly and helpful. We came home with tiramisu cake and it was absolutely delicious. That cake disappeared quickly in our house.

I ordered a cheesecake and the lady that helped us out had the order ready half an hour before. She gave us a sample and it was amazing. We will definitely be back. Amazing service we were impressed.

Went in for the first time to get a birthday cake for my brother last minute. Excellent customer service! The woman who helped me was great at laying out all the options and got the tiramisu cake decorated perfectly and quickly. She made sure to check how long I would be transporting the cake and whether or not I needed ice (which they would have provided had I needed it). Now the cake itself...wow! My family LOVES tiramisu and are not always big "cake" people, and they were raving about this cake. Even my brother in law who is not a sweets guy was the first to finish it. My dad said it was the best cake he'd ever had. Cant recommend this bakery enough! Will definitely return for future birthdays.

I have wanted to visit Ladyfingers Bakery in Oakland for years and never had a chance until recently. Over the years different friends have commented on the bakery and how delicious the cakes, pastries and cookies are. Last week I had a chance to stop by and was excited to finally experience some of the delicious bakery treats for myself. The service was okay but the space was rather claustrophobic to me because it was so cluttered. I purchased 2 Chocolate Chip cookies, 2 German Chocolate cupcakes, 2 Snickerdoodle cookies, 2 Tea Cake cookies and a small Carrot Cake. Honestly I feel so disappointed and also concerned. I'm disappointed because everything was stale and simply not edible with the exception of the 2 Tea Cake cookies. We had to throw everything else away! 50 dollars waisted. I am very concerned about this bakery selling stale or old baked goods to the public.

We got a strawberry ladyfinger cake for my wife's birthday. We'd driven around and tried many bakeries with Ladyfingers being our last hope. Not only did we find a this tasty cake, they were so nice. They asked if the cake was for a special occasion and added a cookie to the top of the cake with a happy birthday message. They even gave us a little treat for coming in. The selection wasn't huge but they had just what we needed. A very positive experience.
