The food is so yummy! I’ve never had a bad meal here, always satisfied. I was craving little Shin Shin the other day and was about to order only to realize that it has been permanently closed :(.Does anyone know what happened? Why it’s permanently closed? Never would have thought!

Food definitely went downhill and so did the service, I stopped coming here over 4 years ago. I guess they decoded to so called retire, I think it was the Covid situation, they never reopened for indoor since. A indoor restaurant can only survive so long with that model..Ah the good ol Bay Area they just over react to their detriment.

The food is outstanding!. I no longer live in Oakland, but the food was really good. Due to the pandemic I haven't had a chance to enjoy their food - I really like them

I've been saying for 20 years that they're not as good as they used to be, but I've been coming here for twice that long including a ridiculous number of birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. Went tonight for the first time since the start of the pandemic. Found out in line that tomorrow is their last day. Just a heads up in case anyone wants to go one last time before they're gone for good. To Go only, phone in orders. We will definitely miss this Piedmont Avenue institution. Lots of good memories.

First time ordering here and it didn't disappoint. Ordered lollipop chicken, shrimp fried rice, and spring rolls. Will order again soon and highly recommended. They're only accepting ordered to go, no dine ins yet but lines are still long so make sure to order ahead.

Great food! Lunch specials are the best! Great customer service! Wish dinning room was open but To-Go will have to do!

No-frills local and authentic Chinese restaurant with consistent good food. Little Shin Shin has been around for over a decade, highly recommend for anyone looking for local Chinese food!

A new restaurant for us! Certainly liked it enough to go back for a second dinner. We had Kung Pao fish, potstickers, fried rice, chow meins, orange chicken, basic dishes so we could compare them. All good!

The decorations, the floor carpets, the chairs, the dishes are all so old and dirty! Perhaps, the owners do not care anymore. Please close the door, spend a week to paint walls, change carpets, place new table covers, new chairs, clean new decorations, new dishes to serve in, and mostly clean up the whole kitchen. Then serve up clean, fresh and quality food like you used to 15 years ago.

Has been the go to Chinese food choice for our family for decades. An East Bay that does not dissapoint!!

Mongolian beef was excellent, tender beef and very flavorful sauce. Best dish and reason enough to return.BBQ pork chow mein was good; noodles a bit soft (I like mine with a more bite), and saute coating not flavorful. Nothing some soy sauce and oil didn't fix, it just needed fixing. The BBQ pork was great quality, good flavor and not fatty. The combo war won ton soup was very disappointing. Won tons had almost no filling, I've never seen such sorry dumplings. Broth was ok, decent chicken stock but just ok. The poached pieces of tender shrimp and chicken floating around were the best thing about it. Would not order againPot stickers had a nice spicy bite and were solid, and yet could have been more flavorful. I'd try them again.

I've been eating here since the early 1990s and has literally tasted the same since (in the best way). This is our family's go to spot, we've moved to the suburbs but will still order takeout or make the trip To Oakland for the full experience. Everything is delicious but recommend to he Kung Pao beef (our fave), sizzling rice soup, fried rice is delicious, and can't go wrong with the green beans

One of our go-to's on Piedmont Ave. Always friendly with consistently good food. They are only doing take-out and I believe you have to order via phone, even if that means standing out front and calling them. You pick up right at the door, no indoor seating or even indoor pick-ups.

We got take-out from this place on Christmas Day and we were so glad we did! They worked hard to get the order right, and when something was missing they replaced it right away. Very hard workers, taking care of a long line of people who were a tad grumpy (doesn't hurt to be nice to the staff on Xmas!) and the food was SO DELICIOUS. Great value, and everything was yummy. We especially liked the potstickers and dry-cooked greenbeans. Take-out only for now, but highly recommended. Thanks Little Shin Shin!
