The shrimp cake is pretty good. I didn't like the egg roll. Grilled chicken and vermicilli were ok.

Didn't check reviews before I went which I usually do they are mixed. But I had a rough day and wanted some comfort soup. I order chicken pho which was SO DAMN GOOD AND FLAVORFUL. It had good chunks of chicken and fixings. Great portion size.I also order other things for my children and husband: kids Fried rice tasty good portion size similar to a smaller size medium, kids mixed veggies, Fried Chicken wings flavorful and the peppers , jalapeño and onion and so good I ate with rice, 3 PC sampler rolls super fresh includes salmon, grilled chicken, shrimp n pork. Also order 2 rice plates one with grilled beef and prawns and one with special spice chicken (thigh and drum) everything was flavorful comes with a small salad and white rice. I would order everything again. My family enjoyed our meal definitely will.be back. Not super expensive.

They said closed at 10:30pm but no one pick up at 9.15 pm. They need to update their open time on Yelp.

The chicken wings are amazing- they're perfectly fried and come dressed with peppers, onion, and garlic. I love the wonton and pho from the menu. My partner usually orders the bun rieu. The service is fantastic and they offer take-out.

I ordered the 2 item vermicelli dish. The picture showed two meat items and an egg roll. When i got my food there was no egg roll. They said i would have to pick it as an item. But there was no option on Uber Eats menu to order an egg roll. Plus in the picture that was a third item. When i called the store and asked for a manager he raised his voice and tried to argue with me about what the picture shows. Total rude dude! Plus the meat was all gristle and fat. Avoid this place like the plague. The people are rude and the food is low quality. I will never order from there again.

A vegetarian family member was in town and found this spot for take out, excited about the large selection of vegetarian options and unique menu items with diverse sets of ingredients. We had no experience with Mac Khai but agreed the menu look good and placed a large order for our expended family. All foods except the vegetarian pot stickers were generally sub par, but the worst offense was the vegetarian salad, which arrived without matching the description or photo. What we got was fried tofu sticks and chopped iceberg lettuce with none of the other ingredients that we ordered except some dressing. Very disappointed that we did not get what we had ordered. The pictures on the website were likely not even taken from this restaurant.

It was around 9:15pm on a Thursday night, and I was flipping thru my delivery apps to see what's still open. That's how I found Mac Khai thru Grub Hub. OMG, looks what's on their menu....."Salt n Pepper Prawns in Shell." So I place an order for the prawns and Beef Stew and Egg Noodle soup. It arrived in 45 mins. Mac Khai does it's own deliveries. So Grubhub doesn't charge alot of added fees, just the (food + sales tax + tip). How was the food? The Salt n Pepper Prawns (in shell) were nearly perfect. The only way they can be perfect is you eat them fresh from the kitchen. But they were great. I ate the whole prawn, shell and all. The spicy hot flavor is just bursting out. (Grade 5/5) The Beef Stew and Egg Noodle soup has a rich and savory broth. I've tried this soup from 4 different restaurants recently, and Mac Khai's egg noodles seems to have the best texture. The soup has a good amount of beef stew and beef tendons. (Grade 5/5).....I like the beef tendons! I'm definitely a fan of this place, it's open until 10:30, and serves up some of my favorites!

Fifth time ordering food here through Uber Eats. Their salt and pepper calamari is a must buy, flavorful and crispy, not too heavy on the salt and pepper, and generous serving -- they fill it to the brim! Their beef noodle pho is filling and aromatic, good mellow smell of cinnamon. Tofu fried rice is filling and freshly cooked. Would repeat again soon!

I came here to Oakland a year ago and this place was not on my radar at all, until I craved for Pho and it shows up. Been going there ever since. You guys have very delicious pho.

Mac Khai offers some of the best of a variety of cuisines. My personal favorites are the brisket and flank steak pho, the shaking beef entree, and the chicken wings. Everything's fresh, with clear flavors and novel preparations. I've eaten here dozens of times and never had anything I didn't like.
