Be aware of the $15 minimum to plug your computer in. Was told of this after I ordered my $7 drink and got my laptop out. Apparently it’s on one of nine tiny signs up by the register.Editing to respond: would have been perfectly reasonable to be asked to order another drink after being there for thirty minutes. I did not get to even bring my latte to my table before being informed of this rule. I understand small business practices- my parents ran a failed restaurant that I worked at many hours. Part of small business practices is understanding that you will receive negative responses if you are openly hostile to costumers. If you are a small business with an elitist mindset, then people misunderstanding your cafe as a welcoming place will be understandably irritated that the atmosphere does not match the ethos.

This is an incredibly special place. The garden is magical, matched only by the kindness of the owner and the generous proportions of delicious food. I feel welcome every time I walk in the door.

Best restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was absolutely magnificent and I’ve never had any food like it. The salmon toast was to die for. Bring everyone you know here. The service was fantastic. 12/10!!!!!!

Maybe an off day, but our experience was bad + slow service with unseasoned food. Pretty and cozy inside though!

Lovely cozy garden setting - a very unique spot to have lunch with a friend! There’s an outdoor area that would be great for dogs and young kids! The food is amazing - I love the Oakland wraps!

Me and Jungle Cafe is one of the hidden treasures of this part of Oakland. The ambiance indoors is very cozy and cute and wonderfully decorated, and outdoors there is a fantastic back patio with wonderful plants and even a little greenhouse you can eat in. Food offerings include high quality cafe fare, some select brunch dishes like the excellent smoked salmon avocado toast, and also their signature rice wraps- like a fresh Vietnamese spring roll overstuffed with greens and different ingredients. All in all a great place.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Oakland. The drinks, food, and ambience are the best by a mile. The indoor seating area and outdoor patio are both charming beyond compare and cozy as can be. Their patio is also dog friendly! That's very important to us. Haven't tried their beer or wine selections yet, but we will be back to sample for sure.

A magical little spot inconspicuously tucked into a row of shops on Piedmont. Super cozy vibes with eclectic armchairs and massive, delicious rice paper rolls served with cilantro lime sauce that is ??? So good. Rarely do super delicious and super healthy go hand in hand so well. Also don't sleep on the cinnamon latte.

The nicest staff, the loveliest outdoor patio (umbrellas, no heaters, pretty wind-protected), wifi/internet, and delicious, gorgeous, fresh food. I haven't strayed from the rice wraps and different coffee drinks, but someday I might :) Food orders can take a minute, but that's because they make it all to order, so don't come if you're in a rush.Really just great vibes all around, they've seen me through multiple laptop weekend work sessions and I've been grateful to be there every time.

Lovely hidden backyard garden for a relaxing lunch in the greenhouse. Drinks are pretty and tasty. Thai tea lemonade was refreshing. The mango drink was also delicious. We shared a beet wrap with pink crab and ample of vegetables. The peanut sauce was very tasty. The almond croissant with Thai tea cream was surprisingly delicious. A very nice combo of flavors.

Awesome local cafe with fun and interesting menu with Asian influences like pandan coconut latte, chicken rice wraps, and standard cafe brunch options like avocado toast. They put a lot of love and effort into the high quality food. Super cute atmosphere and really really nice staff and owner PJ!
