Dessert wonderfully less sweet! Purple rice + Almond Milk + Grass Jelly all well made!

I ordered the carmel Boba pudding. Interesting textures. Not a lot of flavor. Not overly sweet. Wouldn't have it a second time. Don't regret having had it.

Cashier forgot to accept my rewards after seeing me scan my phone. She told me to write down the account number on the receipt and she'll manually add it in later. It's been over a month and it looks like she forgot... I'd show the receipt but that was also taken away.

It's a cute delightful little place that has delicious culinary delights. Their mango green tea is delicious. Egg waffles are a savory treat.

Terrible tasting matcha drink, it was powdery and bitter. Service was not good, tables were dirty, not a safe location in Oakland either. The drinks needs to improve of service and location is not good.

They messed up my phone-in order and denied to take responsibilities towards their mistakes. Then later I was speechless because of their poor customer services with very demanding attitude when I was requesting a refund from them--I asked the employee why is my custom made boba drink was $3 more expensive than they informed me over the phone? She told me because you ordered a custom drink and it's hard to make; indeed, I did order a custom drink, but it was only milk mixed with strawberry syrup and boba....However it was only $3 dollar more than what they told us, but why would there be any pricing differences anyway?Secondly, their employees definitely need some heavy customer training...Their cashier literally asked me "what do you want to do then?" (In a very rude tone, and in Chinese: "那你想怎么办?")when I was explaining the price situation.Well, I guess you need to learn how to respect other people. Because it's not my fault that your business made a mistake on my order and instead of seeking clarification from your customer, your employee choose to make excuses and being stubborn. Regardless of their employees interpersonal/ customer servicing skill, they should be trained to never disrespect nor lie to customers. At the end, I do hope your business to take employee training seriously and best of luck to you. I hope Meet Fresh specially at this downtown Oakland location could be a role model brand in our Asian community.

Meet Fresh has become my favorite dessert place. I went to Taiwan last year and have been dreaming of the desserts there. Meet Fresh has the goods and satisfies my cravings. My go-to is the warm taro ball bowl. The warm and sweet taste is pleasing on a cold night. They also have icy jelly bowls which are perfect when it's warm. It can be a tad pricy but the portion is worth the $7. There is something for everyone on the menu and the many options can keep people coming back. They craft each bowl so there can be a bit of a during the peak hours. The perk is that they are open late. The parking can be hard but there's usually street parking around within a block.

Came here on a Sunday night around 6:30 PM and the area was like a ghost town. There was plenty of street parking and not even a soul on sight. This place was one of the few places that was actually open. We ordered the grass jelly (hot) and one of the popular dishes on their menu. I would not recommend getting the grass jelly hot... it had melted and if you don't eat it quick enough, it starts turning back into jello. It was still good though! A bit sweet to my liking but definitely enjoyed it. The other one had mochi and red bean which was good. This place is self serve so you have to pick up and clean up after yourself. There's plenty of seating and the staff is friendly. I personally think that the portions are small and a bit too sweet.

I don't know what it is about chinatown desserts but each time I've been, the desserts always come out lukewarm when you ask for hot desserts. I did my own creation when I came here this time - hot almond soup with taro balls and red bean. It was good but again, the lukewarm component really made the whole experience a little less enjoyable. I do want to support asian businesses so i'll be back but maybe i'll just order takeout and reheat it at home because it is that important to me to have a hot dessert that is not lukewarm lol.

There's a big selection of desserts and options to add. Parking is non-existent in Chinatown. Service is pretty fast.

I love grass jelly and Asian desserts. The first time I've been to a Meetfresh was in New York in the summertime. I feel incredibly spoiled with my experience there. I was excited for the icy signature grass jelly- it didn't disappoint! Bummed to have missed the strawberry and mango because it's off-season. Will have to come back and try other menu items!

If you plan on coming here with friends or family, I would recommend ordering the large shaved ice since the serving size is very generous and not much more expensive than the medium.

So disappointing, we've been going here since they first opened and wow, the bing soo was so fluffy and soft with fresh fruits but now, it's just regular smegula shaved ice that you can get anywhere else and the fruits aren't even fresh. I hope they can get a new ice machine otherwise I would not recommend coming here for the shaved ice.

Absolutely great! One of the best places to dine in. Everyone was excellent. Servers, bartender, hostess….food was great, good drinks. Other restaurant staffs should come here and learn a thing or two regarding hospitality and customer service. Highly recommend!

Meet Fresh Oakland used to be our family's favorite, warm day treat. We would order the mango and strawberry shaved ice. Pains me to write that this place has deteriorated beyond recognition. The shaved ice texture not what it used to be...think large chunks of ice, as if it came from a refrigerator crushed ice dispenser, worse than a bad Hawaiian shaved ice. The mango and strawberries used to be ripe and uniformly diced small delivering texture and flavor. Now, Meet Fresh purchases larger precut mango chunks and pre sliced frozen strawberry. The half-assed effort pisses me off.
