It was a cute spot and nice to grab some lunch at. I’d go back and do recommend. They have corn tortillas which is great if you’re gluten free.

First time here! And not disappointed - Mia’s food is certainly hit the spot! It is so good, ingredients are fresh, service was excellent I can wait to try the rest of the menu!

Joyous, crunchy lunch - the *best* restaurant week value! 3 tacos, icy cold hibiscus agua fresca, and a warm dulce, all for $15. I ordered the potato tacos but they encourage you to order any combination of the available tacos. First time here but it won't be the last!

Overall, not a bad place.. but being in Oakland, there are a TON of better places with better price points. There is street parking available or a parking garage next to plank. The restaurant is very small with not a lot of seating, but very cute and welcoming. There is also outside seating. The menu is very limited. But if you already know what you're getting into, you can order intentionally. My friend ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada and an egg. They said it was very good and well seasoned! We both ordered Jamaica that contained cinnamon and we both enjoyed them. Loved the cinnamon in it. I ordered a quesadilla con pollo and wow, what a let down. I was starving and it looked like I was served a soft taco. Not a full quesadilla like I was expecting (compared to every single Mexican restaurant I've been to) and it wasn't cut. So really, I didn't even know it was my order until the server told me it was a quesadilla. Flavor overall wasn't bad, but I had better. Also, it was super wet and soggy upon arrival. Literally dripping juices. So the homemade tortilla that I would have loved to experience was very slimy. The texture was gross. Honestly I ate it because I was extremely hungry. I asked for chips, and luckily we had those to help fill me up (I devoured them because the quesadilla was such a small proportion.) if you're going to just fold it in half, at least use a large burrito tortilla and cut it. Also, definitely needs more cheese. Such a lackluster meal. Sadly I would not personally recommend this place, but I also wouldn't tell anyone to not go. However, if asked I would tell people to not order the quesadilla until they make improvements.

The location is great but the food was bland and lacked flavor. You’re better off picking up Mexican food from a taco truck and picnicking at jack London square. Wanted to love the food but it looked better than it tasted ?

Came in for the full cocktail menu launch happy hour. And I LOVE this place. The place is small, but super cute and everyone was super nice. They even had a partner who was offering Don Pilar tequila tastings. The food: I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was really good. It's very hard to find vegetarian burritos that aren't just rice and beans, so I was really glad that this one included lots of veggies. Wish they had more salsa available, but still really good. Also ordered the chips and guacamole, and for $6.50, the guacamole was actually really good. I didn't try the tacos, but the tacos de asada was the clear winner. Every single cocktail we ordered was delicious. My favorites in order: Benito Juarez El Vampiro Carajillo Tamarindo Margarita La Daisy The only reason this place is not a 5, and it's not entirely their fault, is because it was the night of their cocktail menu launch hence they were pretty busy. We waited about 20+ minutes for our first two cocktails. We knew they were busy, so it wasn't a big deal, but when others who ordered their drink after us started getting their drinks, we asked the server and maybe they lost our ticket because she offered to make them for us and she came back with our drink a few minutes later. She was great! Will definitely come back and recommend others to support as well.

Good quality Mexican Tacos and Burritos with some unique taste and reasonable prices. The service is also very nice and the inside sitting is limited and casual. The carnitas had a little sweetness taste to it which made it rather interesting and definitely unique. Nice job overall.

Nice addition to JLS. It looks like a cute little tequila/mescal bar but it's actually a casual restaurant. We stopped by for tacos and horchatas on a rainy weekend. They have plenty of outdoor seating but with this weather, everyone was bundled inside. It's a little cramped but we managed to make room for our stroller. Tried a few of their meats and the pastor was my favorite. It's a simple menu but as long as the food is good, that's all that matters. The asada was a little dry for me. But my favorite was the pretty cocktail glass my horchata came in - it totally elevated my mood. Margaritas next time!

Fantastic casual ambiance, home-made tortillas, healthy options and wonderfully crafted drinks. A true gem and great addition to the Jack London Square neighborhood.

Pretty bomb chilaquiles con carne? y ? huevo. The salsa is pretty on point too, homemade for sure. Lastly, I recommend the drinks!! Moreover, loved the place’s aesthetic and vibe to bring a warming & chill Jack London brunch. Also shoutout to the Taco Bike ? (CDMX??) representation?

We've been wanting to try this place for a while but it's closed on Tuesdays... taco Tuesday anyone? We made it in today and tried some tacos and margs. They seem a little shorthanded and their computer system was down but they handled it well and everything was delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of al pastor but that just means we'll have to come back soon.Everything was great but the homemade tortillas and margaritas stood out!
