I used to order food here and came for lunch with my family before covid. Recently, I came back after many years and not so happy about the quality of food here. I know that they have new owner but don't know if they changed chef too? Ordered mostly soup dishes and the broth weren't great. Ordered all large size & paid extra for them, but the amount of noddles are med, not large. If you count the amount of veggies they gave (which im happy about) , then yes they'll be considered large.

Nothing on the menu disappoints, and there are a number of dishes that aren’t exactly common in Vietnamese restaurants in the US.
The grilled pork is really something else, though. Trying it for the first time was like a great first date; I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

This is my absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant around Lake Merritt and Oakland. My favorite is the bun Bo hue, but I’ve tried the other dishes and can say they’re all good. Highly recommend!

I rarely find places that cook Vietnamese Rice Sheets or Bánh Ướt Chả Lụa :) Theirs was solid, but the serving size was a bit smaller than places you'd find in South Bay.

Parking: Parking is limited. It's very hard to find parking space.
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can go inside easily. Because there are no stairs.

The pho was an amazing combination of rich and flavorful. There was so much collagen and goodness in the broth that it coats your lips. The chopped beef was tender and cooked perfectly with the hot broth poured over it even after ordering it to-go and getting home an hour later. Would definitely come back for a sit down experience.

Da Nang Quan is my go to restaurant to get my Bun Mam fix. I feel this noodle soup dish is a severely underrated that's packed with hella flavor from the fermented fish based broth that may be an acquired taste to lots but for me, definitely up there with the likes of bun bo hue, bun rieu or pho. Nicknamed as the Vietnamese gumbo, it comes packed with fish, shrimp, pork slices and crispy pork belly.Da Nang Quan now makes it on the sweeter side but adding lime and peppers calms that sweetness down with plenty of veggies and makes it just about perfect.
