Not that many too choose from especially since they don't continue to bake throughout the day. NO SESAME BALLS HERE

I really like their small pineapple buns, and they are only 5 for $3! They taste amazing when fresh out of the oven. Highly recommended!

Authentic Hong Kong style bakery with very tasty pineapple buns. Very much a hole in the wall (no signage at the moment), but always worth a visit.

I used to like their food but their attitude and lack of civility lost me.

Once, they gave me a wrong item and when I asked about it, they not only didn’t apologize but got angry before changing it. This time, I lined up waiting, when one staff started taking orders, they let a customer completely cut in front of me and ignored that I was courteously in line.

Sorry but I have better bakeries to go to.

To first timers here, the variety of baked goods and pastries sold here would be a pleasant surprise given the inconspicuous entrance to this Chinese bakery. They offer egg tarts, Swiss rolls, BBQ pork buns, sponge cakes, pineapple buns, zhongzhi, cakes, and more. The staff here are ever so friendly and warm, and they always have a smile on their face when I've come here. The shop also seems to have a steady stream of regular customers that come here for their pastries, though lines tend to move fast. If you like Chinese baked goods, definitely stop by!

Classic HK-style bakery. The large bbq pork buns are about the size of a softball, could use a bit more filling but overall decent (SimplyCake in San Mateo has juicier/tastier filling even though the buns are smaller). Good value at $2.25 as of May 2025. Doors open and good ventilation, many staff and patrons in surgicals. Cash only.

Swiss roll is yummy, pineapple bun appropriately sweet and fluffy. Their coconut tart is decent. Zongzi is on the way salty side.

One of the best pastry shops in Oakland's Chinatown and relatively un-expensive.
Chicken cocktail buns, egg tarts, banana flour rolls, walnut cookies and the assorted wife cakes (老婆鉼) are recommended.
The bakery is always busy so you don't have to figure out how good it is.
Never disappointing.

I’ve been buying bakery from them for the last couple years, everything was perfect but ! This time I got half dozen of the egg tart , and i got diarrhea after…. I thought I may have something else, but on the 2nd day, I have 1 egg tart again, and I got diarrhea after ….. hopefully they see this comment and figure out what’s going on and fix that….. will update later when I buy next time maybe a month later

Not just a hole in the way - actually looks like a building under construction.

Anyway, great pastries and bread, fairly priced. The employees are always really nice to me when I stop by on the way home.

Cash only pastries shop. It is interesting chinese cake and pastries shop. From outside you won't know itvis a cake shop as it looks a bit run down. I feel like I am back to my childhood when I saw so many pastries which I had when I was a kid and the taste is still the same. I bought some home and had some at the store. The husband and wife baked cake are authentic. The worker is friendly but mostly cannot speak English well but cantonese.
