Best brunch I've ever had!!! We tried many things off the menu and they were all amazing. We had a very large group and they were super accommodating even as we couldn't all fit at one table. Still felt together in a sense. Everything from food to drinks was made with care and even the food at other tables looked amazing. Service was responsive but not superior. Food was so good we forgot to take pics- but you can't go wrong!

The steak was cooked to the perfect temp and melted in your mouth. Red beans n rice, Brussel sprouts and broccolini all cooked to perfection... The flavor of the red beans were ON POINT. Oeste did NOT disappoint! My friend and I enjoyed my 45th birthday with amazing food, drinks and service! The whole vibe was low key and hype all in one! The food, music, and service were fabulous and my birthday will hold great memories! Thank you Oeste!

It was ok too crowded to have a high table in the middle between the bar and seated tables. Food was on the salty side and tasted better the next day. Crowed is a nice mix and free drinks, lol.

This place is quite interesting, but unfortunately, the food didn't impress us. My friend ordered rice and beans, but it was disappointing. The wings were somewhat redeeming, although they weren't anything special--just red hot sauce drizzled on top. The service was also lacking. Despite having a reservation, it took us 20 minutes to be seated, and then we were placed at a dirty table, which took another 15 minutes to clean up. While the drinks were okay, overall, I wouldn't choose to come here again willingly.

Really wanted to like this place, especially to support black-owned, women-owned places! A former coworker and I were catching up after over a year and I picked out this place based on reviews. We came for happy hour on a Thursday. Service was... I won't say rude, but definitely standoffish. No attempt to be friendly or welcoming. The rooftop bar, which we were looking forward to, was unfortunately closed for a private event. Food portions for happy hour (we got plaintains and fries) were generous. The place needs sound deadening because it was way too loud in there to have a normal conversation. Probably won't go back...

The music was at the right volume and the type of music was excellent for the type of place. I suggest this place for a group event or celebration. The food was just mediocre. I went here maybe two weeks ago for my friends birthday dinner and I ordered the ribs. When I tell you these ribs are absolutely fall off the bone they’re so amazing probably the best ribs I ever had in my life and I’m not joking so amazing. Fast forward today I was really craving these ribs again I decided to do it online order for these ribs and the person who I talk to you was so sweet and accommodating customer service is absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations if you’re looking for amazing place to eat definitely check this place out and definitely order the ribs but running you might get addicted to them like me lol I just wanna say thank you so much for the hospitality and the amazing customer service and the amazing food if I can give this place 10 stars I would!!!
Plantains & Champagne Day Party is a VIBE!! Looking forward to the next one. The Fish plate is FIRE!! The Caribbean Plate is delicious as well. DJs were MAADDD! People were beautiful!! VIBEZ!! The whole place is super cute and worth a visit. Def hit up the next Plantains & Champagne.
The ambience was great but our server was not attentive at all so we had long waits to even order food or get another drink which is unusual for Oestes so I would still recommend the restaurant

this is what you call the old "bait and switch"... I really wanted to like this restaurant since it came highly recommended from a friend for their rooftop bar. I booked an experience for valentines day. There were 2 options listed, $50 person which included entry and credit towards food or $100 per person for the prix fixe meal. Since there was no event menu displayed, I figured we would order ala carte when we got there. We ended up ordering drinks, apps, and entrees. When the bill came, we were charged for everything we ordered, on top of the $100 I paid when making the reservation. I questioned the server about the prepaid amount and even pulled up the Opentable booking which was named "show + main" and the restaurant insisted the $50 was only for entry. I understand that it was a special night with live entertainment, but I feel like I was deliberately mislead. Why would anyone in their right mind choose the $50 option if $100 included food + entry? The pricing didn't make sense when I kept thinking about it on the way home. Another party seated next to us had the same situation and we both felt taken advantage of. I loved the live entertainment and I'm all for supporting local artists, especially live performances, but no one enjoys being lied to. Unfortunately due to this experience, I probably won't be back. Although I enjoyed my food. they have bartenders who actually know how to balance drinks here. don't be afraid to order cocktails. roasted lamb was great, a little charred but super tender. brussel sprouts was a huge bowl and tasty.

This is a long overdue review of the BAR. Oeste Bar in Oakland is an absolute vibe! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a lively atmosphere filled with energy and excitement. The drinks are top-notch. With a DJ and loud music, the place is packed with energy, it felt like the ultimate night out. Despite the hustle and bustle, the staff remained attentive and welcoming. They made sure everyone felt right at home, which really added to the overall vibe of the place.
