My husband and I were in the neighborhood this morning and needed a place to eat at and they were already open early morning so we went here after going to Pena Bakery. I love the whole atmosphere of the restaurant and the table service is wonderful. We were seated right away and served chips with two kinds of salsas. Our order was taken promptly and the food came out quick. I really enjoyed their burrito and liked the fact I was able to get grilled chicken instead of carne asada. Its in a nice neighborhood in Oakland too worth checking out.

Had a wonderful and delicious breakfast for two. Would definitely recommend. Everyone was very friendly and service was great. Thank you!

The colorful chairs and tables are very beautiful as they depict scenes of mexican folklore in rich tones. I also gotta say that the molcajete salsa they serve with their chips is really the best. It is tangy, spicy but not too much, just very tasty.

Popped in here for a quick Margarita, menu said $9, they charged me over $14, and it was weak as hell. Where'd the $5+ upcharge come from??

In my opinion, the food is terrible. Today my family went, I ordered a roast beef, the meat was not even sewn, the beans were in bad condition and my partner ordered a shrimp broth and it tasted like soap. And for my baby I ordered two tacos and no sauce. They tell you the truth. My experience was the worst?

If you want to be ignored, yelled at, and leave feeling completely awful, go to Otaez. The service is an absolute nightmare, and the staff has zero respect for their customers. It's by far the worst Mexican restaurant in town

I ordered chicken soup, chicken torta, and a bean and cheese burrito. Man don't even waste your time. The food has no flavor at all. The chicken was dry and had absolutely no seasoning smh the mayonnaise had more flavor then the meal, the soup broth was spicy but the chicken bland had no flavor at all they could have used some chicken bouillon smfh. The bean and cheese burrito was meh no flavor at all, and the fries were trash. All in all sometimes it's best to just make your own food, or definitely check the reviews which we didn't cause we were starving. Lesson learned.

It is very satisfying to have a local place that provide real food and real experience in the neighborhood. My only issue is the owner who prefer to act nice when customers are in but act like a complete unprofessional individual when they are not.
