My fiancé and I love this spot. The people that work here are so sweet. The pan dulce is always fresh. They always are fully stocked, and the interior is very clean. If you're looking for the best pan dulce in Oakland, show Peña's some love!
It's my favorite place to get pan. There is always a good fresh selection in the morning, and the pan always keeps well. I like the virginias, the yellow conchas, and the payasos, but we always take a bag home for our house and one for grandma's. All of the selections are tasty, and I usually get a cup of coffee too, but they also sell a variety of can and bottled beverages. Love their bread it is so fresh fluffy and tasty I love going their early in the mornings for all types of bread. I highly recommend it it is above my expectations everyone is extremely friendly.
