I have heard nothing but amazing things about this place. I've obviously seen some of the videos circulating online, and they shook me to my core. The owner seems like a genuine person who truly cares about his restaurant and he is in no fault of this incident. I hope that you can stay safe and a nicer place to reopen the restaurant, I will make it my mission to come eat here. Stay safe and don't give up on everything you've worked for!

Decided to try this place based on a friend's recommendation, but left with a knot in my stomach. Let's just say the clientele here isn't exactly your typical dinner crowd. There's a certain... intensity in the air. Lots of hushed conversations, quick glances, and a general feeling that you're on the periphery of something you shouldn't be.
And yeah, the rumors about the owner? They feel pretty palpable when you're sitting there. It's like everyone in the know is on edge, and you, as an outsider, are just trying to blend in and get out. The food was... fine, I guess. But it's hard to appreciate a meal when you're more focused on the guy at the next table who looks like he's straight out of a movie scene you'd rather not be in.
The service was efficient, almost too efficient, like they wanted to get you in and out as quickly as possible. No warm welcomes or friendly chat here. It feels less like a place of business and more like a meeting point with a kitchen attached. If you're looking for a relaxed, welcoming dining experience, steer clear. This place has a different kind of flavor, and it's not one I'd recommend.

Sad what happened tonight. Hope you’re able to find a safer location to keep serving the community. Soul food is a dying art on the west coast. A lot of people don’t understand how hard it is to stay open with the tight profit margins within hiring staff and keep quality.

10 star treatment me and my sister came for her birthday it wasn’t as crowded as it is now so we got all the attention. I mean hang your coat, pull your chair out, pour wine, and even made sure we got safely to our cars ♥️ Plus the young men their were top tier Kings 👑 The Food was sooo good that I couldn’t wait to go back. Thank you Pierre Pierre for that Over and beyond great service!! I’ll never forget that feeling 🙏🏽

The food was absolutely phenomenal. There were 6 of us and we had salmon and mac and cheese and pasta and chicken. A great sampling of the menu and no one was disappointed. Drinks were great and then….the dessert. Cheesecake was bomb but the cake was next level. We were all blown away. Lamar was very attentive and made the night special. You can tell the word is getting out cause the place was popping. You MUST go for this food.
