Came here for a late lunch around 2 and some of the best fast pizza have had in a long time. The lunch deal is a good value: 2 slices and a drink for ~$12. Clean sleek interior with bar seating around the edge and a big table in the

I’ve been here many times for takeaway slices and it never disappoints! Literally the best pizza I’ve ever had in the Bay Area. Rivals my NYC fav-Pizza Suprema midtown. It’s more a takeaway place than eat in but a must try!

We've picked up pizza here many times, and it's been decent. Good chew to the crust, good toppings. But Violetta is going downhill rapidly, if what happened tonight is any indication. Ordered a couple hours in advance -- the "special" meatball pizza. I was a couple minutes early, it wasn't done, so I sat in the car in the red zone (yeah, I know, I've gotten a $500 ticket for that once elsewhere -- but it was 5:30 PM). Time clicked by, 5:35, my pick-up time, came and went. I figured the girl inside, knowing I was right outside, would give me a high-sign when it was ready. Nope! Finally I walked in, closer to 5:40, and oh, yeah-- it was sitting in the warmer. 5 minutes to home, right on the table-- pizza was almost raw! Barely warmed, flabby half-cooked pizza dough -- ugh! Cranked up the gas grill, saved the meal. But the meatballs were gigantic. I had envisioned little ones, you know -- the size that could be evenly distributed on the pizza. Nope! They were just heavy, unseasoned, flavorless and poorly distributed on the crust. Fell off when you tried to pick it up, too. Finally, the chili oil -- um, it was reddish oil, yeah. But again, it was flavorless. NO heat at all. Got out the chili flakes. When you pick up food these days, a tip is expected. You pay in advance, and the trade-off should be some decent service, attention to details, and quality product. I felt ripped off after this pizza. Will maybe give them another chance, but you bet I'm looking for a better alternative.

REALLY don't understand the high reviews. The pizza is an exercise in mediocrity at best; a sub-par ridiculously expensive mess. Pizza chain quality at a fine dining price. Was going to be $53 to have a regular old, half pepperoni /half cheese pizza delivered. Decided to go pick up in the rain to save a few bucks. Could not order online because the system does not allow for half and half pizza orders. They do not offer pineapple. Just, why? Guy was weird and very rude on the phone. Seemed to take my request for a "light bake" personally. He got offended. Deliberately hung up on me as I was trying to order. I called back, no one answered. Called several more times before someone else picked up, who subsequently read back my order incorrectly so I had to start over.. Total pizza ordering time exceeded eighteen minutes; thanks guys. The pizza had a strange, undesirable taste that I could not pinpoint. The best way that I could describe it was that it tasted very "porky" - even the side that was just plain cheese; like they soak the dough in bacon fat or something weird -not implying that they do, that's just the only way I can describe the off-putting taste. Crust was a funky, chewy texture. Sauce too garlicky for my liking. Violetta - Get over yourselves. Your pizza is not good. You never noticed that restaurants move to that location and die? Can't even park. Be nice to your customers. We have choices. We don't need you. You need us. My first and last time at Vio. Ciao V.

We had a kids (8 year olds) pizza lunch before a movie play date at Pizzeria Violetta on a Sunday - 7 kids and assorted parents. Wasn't crowded at 12 noon so we were able to camp at the single large table (seats 6+). Plenty of bar seating around the perimeter. The cheese pizza was gobbled up by the kiddos and there are great salads and assorted beverages available as well. The staff were very accommodating (I called in advance to see if we could "reserve" the table - you can't reserve it but if you come early enough, it's usually available). Great pizza, staff doesn't get freaked out by a bunch of 8 year olds, nice place to gather for kids and parents before a movie.

This is my go to pizza spot!! Jonathan’s pizza creations are delicious and feature seasonal items which is a huge plus. Truly one of the best pizza spots in Oakland (don’t sleep on the Sweet Little Pig if you’re a meat eater)! Thanks for everything!

Delicious fresh ingredient pizza with amazing thin crust. The seasonal local selection is in point! Also there is an awesome wine selection like a mini wine shop better than winery prices! Pizza and Pinot

Very disappointed with the pizza. Ordered delivery for the first time and had the sweet little pig and the comet salad. The salad was good but the pizza was very disappointing. There was barely enough cheese on it, and the sweetness of the bacon didn't go well with the pizza. I was really looking forward to some good pizza after traveling in Southeast Asia for over a month, and this was a huge disappointment. Ate a slice and threw the rest out. Will not be ordering from them again.

Consistently worst service ever. Most recently, I was ignored by everyone in the store when I was picking up my pizza. It’s not that they were busy - one man was rearranging the napkin dispensers on the table. Yet the minute an older woman walked in they asked her immediately if she needed helped. When I said excuse me and asked to pick up my pizza they acted like I was such a burden. Honestly never going again pizza isn’t worth being treated like that
