Located on grand, parking will be hard to find especially peak hours. Food flavors was decently good, the shrimp dumplings tasted heavy msg, the chicken siu mia had too strong of shittake mushroom flavor, they used too much oil in all the dishes, lamb dish had a layer of oil at the base of the plate, and the noodles was very oily too. Overall the service was good, the lady was nice. Price was decent and the portion size was good. If they improved on using less oil so the food is not soaked it would had higher rating

I've been looking for a good dumplings place near home and I found it! The dumplings were flavorful and juicy. Took a friend from Hawaii there for her favorite food- Shanghai soup Dumplings. She loved it! Even my picky 100 year old Godmother gave it the thumbs up. We tried other dishes too: salt and pepper wings and tomato chow mein with tofu ( will skip the tofu next time - tasteless). Will be back to try the other dumplings.

This place is great! I loved the veggie pot stickers (perfectly crispy and not at all bland like some veggie pot stickers), the green beans, and the Sichuan pork noodles. Everything was fresh, lovingly prepared, and full of flavor. We also had some of the warmest and good-natured service I've had in a long time. I can't believe it took me so long to come here and I can't wait to come back!

I love this place. Great to eat there, or for takeout. The dumplings are delicious! I suggest the dragon dumplings. And try the eggplant, garlic noodles, and amazing sweet and sour. I love the staff too. They are very welcoming and warm. Between the delicious food and kind staff, this is a weekly favorite.

This place is so good! I got some shumai and other things but their service was sooo quick and the workers were very nice as well I got greeted and seated as soon as I walked in, my food came fast hot and ready to eat the quality was really top tier! The ambiance of the place was relaxing and laid back and not too bright inside either. I will definitely be back!!

The pork buns, fried beef, and firecracker dumplings were truly the MVP. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Qi Dumpling Lounge in Oakland, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This cozy little gem of a restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way, leaving me with a memorable dining experience. Qi Dumpling Lounge truly excels in its craft, and their dumplings are a testament to that. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the fillings were perfectly balanced and seasoned. From their delectable scallion pancakes to their flavorful noodle dishes, each item on the menu reflects the care and attention to detail put into every dish. The service at Qi Dumpling Lounge was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance at Qi Dumpling Lounge is warm and inviting.

I love Dim Sum, and one of my favorite things to eat are Soup Dumplings and Potstickers. I order these everywhere, and use them as a barometer for quality.Decent place, good location, not good service...Let's get on to the food...We ordered the Su Mai, Soup Dumplings, Potstickers, Green Onion Pancake, and string beans. They were all good; nothing outstanding, but good... They were all fresh made, the Su Mai were some of the better ones in Oakland. The Soup Dumplings and Potstickers could have used more aromatics (ginger, garlic) in the filling and were a bit bland. The string beans were very good, and the pancake was nice too.I have eaten Soup Dumplings all over the place, and they are usually served with Black Vinegar and shredded ginger.I asked for these, and my server acted like I insulted him. I informed that is how they are usually served, and asked for those items. He continued to justify why he did not serve them that way, although acknowledging that is how they should be served. He refused to try and get those items for me even after 3 attempts. My server acted like he had forgotten he was in the service industry, continued to convince me that I did not need those items, and made no attempt to get them for me. After talking to him, I found out he was the owner.Wow! I could not believe he would be unhelpful. So service here is bad... the owner is too wrapped up in his own ego, and places that can't accommodate a customer's simple request like this should shut their doors; or get better servers...Therefore I am docking 1+ star...The decor was simple, and contemporary. A nice simple setting, more open than the typical Chinese restaurant. It was clean, and so were the bathrooms...The parking could be an issue as it's location is right on Grand, but we walked there...I may try it again, but honestly my interaction with the owner makes me reticent.Be warned!

Decided to grab a quick bite after we shopped at IKEA and found this place, it looked pretty good. We ordered pork soup dumplings (were not great) we only had 3 of them, Hawaiian fried rice (nothing special, but was the best part of our order), and grab Rangoon (there was no crab, only cream cheese). We were not very happy with our order. The customer services wasn't great either, the person who took our order was a bit rude and didn't provide any napkins, soy sauce, or cutlery. Not the best experience, will not be back.

I've been to a million Chinese restaurants like this one. Nothing too unique about QI other than the service was great. The server was helpful with the menu and we didn't feel like we were being rushed to place our order. Sometimes good food and great service is all you need.BB

Very sweet staff but the food was just ok, not bad as some reviewers have said but not great either. The crab rangoon barely hinted of crab, it was all just cream cheese. The dragon dumplings were fine but the soup dumplings looked grayish and anemic. The pork belly sliders were my favorite dish but I don't think I would come back just for those. Overall if you really really crave some dumplings this is a reasonable option but I wouldn't pick this place out among the excellent other restaurant options on that block.
