The atmosphere has improved because they used to play a Dido CD on repeat, but now they run a mix station. I never went there for the music, I always go for the fish. We have such a good time eating with the friendly staff at Mijori that my girlfriend will not eat sushi anywhere else.
This is a true neighborhood gem. It's hands down the most reliably fresh and affordable sushi restaurant I've found in Oakland. The ambiance is quaint, the service is quick, and the fish is delectable. The agadashi tofu is the best I've ever had! It has the essence of ginger!

Mijori has been my go to restaurant since 1989 when I first moved into this neighborhood. The staff is friendly and welcoming and goes out of their way to make you feel part of their family.
