i went to QTea Bar for the first time and honestly - ITS NOT BAD FOR A PERSON WHO ONLY HAS $10 AT THE MOMENT LIKE ME.
basically, its a small place - however they offer a lot of items on their menu! the one on the picture is the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba, which costed $7 dollars (I DROPPED MY JAW AT THE PRICE, BUT ITS FINE I GUESS?)
i chose Normal sweetness level and was expecting a nice sugar level, but was instantly kicked with a flavor that felt like 10 spoons of sugar on my mouth😭💔
i suggest letting it dilute for a little bit and drinking it, because the sugar really was kicking me
im used to the “normal” amount if sugar level since im a sugar-tooth, but if youre an adult, i suggest 50-75% sugar - also the toppings (boba, etc) are $0.50 — which is an okay price
the employees are super nice, they only had 2 people working at the time i was there - so i believe its a small business run by them
overall; great service, nice menu, small place but functional!
5/5 in my opinion, if i were bias, id give 3.5/5, but they were kind :)

Boba is good, but twice now tea has been very unsweetened despite asking for 75-100% sweetness so make sure to ask for extra sweetness if you’re used to a higher level of sweetness in your drinks.

This is my favorite boba spot in oakland. I usually get the grass jelly milk tea with boba and oatmilk and it is suuper refreshing! Just the right amount of sweetness. Their boba AND grass jelly is my favorite out of many places in the Bay Area, being chewy & soft. I’m not really sure how to describe the consistency lol but the flavor of both is great! Sweet but not TOO sweet.
The service is great too. They seem organized and well structured, always kind and helpful.
No place to sit in case you’re looking for that. Pay with cash and pay a tiny bit less.

We all love boba tea and this was pretty good!! Kids love it!! They got Oreo cookie with Boba milkshake and a piña colada milkshake with Boba and I got a tarot tea with Boba… There is no seating through the window… But we enjoyed it and it was worth a few minutes out of the way

I love the passion fruit slushie! Their milk teas are also good. Fast and efficient service.
Disappointed, it literally tasted like water mixed with powdered flavoring, the taro boba was those weird jelly type that didn't taste like taro. I asked for no sugar but the drink was still very sweet. Not worth the price and drive. There is no atmosphere since they blocked out the store and the lady hands you cash money in a cup for change. Service is basically non existent since it behind the shield. Not recommended

6/11/2023 1115am as I approach the front entrance seeing if they ready to services customers a worker behind the ice-cream machine was very rude screaming at me say ( READ THE SIGN) ALL I ASK WAS ARE THEY READY TO SERVICES CUSTOMERS! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN AFTER 6YRS OF GIVING THEM MY BUSINESS DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE GO TO ALAMEDA IT TASTES BETTER.
