Haven't been to this location since I moved out of Oakland back in 2019. The shrimp boil was just as good as I remember, very flavorful. But the gumbo has definitely gone down hill. It literally was the only restaurant gumbo I ever found enjoyable. But what I got tonight was trash. I swear they used to put chicken in it. This was literally 2 shrimp and about half of a sausage diced up with some celery and broth for $17. I was so disappointed since that's what I really wanted and ended up throwing it away after I ate the 2 shrimp and a few pieces of the sausage lol I won't be back.

I use to come here a lot but the atmosphere has changed. I brought my mother and daughter and had to ask them to change the music. It went from Plies “Becky” to multitude of other nasty songs..not that I’m not a fan lol but just not the right setting. Price of crawfish has TRIPPLED😮💨. It makes the trip down to New Orleans worth it. Kind servers and food was 8/10

Delicious Cajun spiced seafood boils. Quick, friendly service in a down-home, laid-back atmosphere.

The Boiling Crab revolution has taken over, but I'd have to say that Rockin' Crawfish is better. Rockin' Crawfish has a much better broth/sauce (Rockin' Combo) that isn't overly-garlicky like Boiling Crab and the crawfish is much fresher. I've gone to Rockin' Crawfish over 15 times in the last few years (including the Oakland location), and although it has it's rare bad days, it's pretty consistently delivered. I went yesterday and the crawfish was the freshest it's ever been (and they had roe!!).
The waitresses are friendly, there's TVs, and the food is excellent. I love their fried catfish (fish 'n chips), buffalo wings, and fried oysters as well.
Hands down the best crawfish boil restaurant in SF (or at least much better than Red Crawfish, Craw Station, and Swamp).

Went here to order a crab bag for the first time and the waiter was more interested in going home and being rude
I asked him several times to help me with my order.
When I decided I had enough I told him I don't want to order anything so he snatched the menu out of my hand
I asked the other 2 workers what is his name and they put their heads down and went about they business. I will never go there again. Do not go here when it's close to closing.
So I love the food from here

Funny that someone suggested i go somewhere else if i wanted to actually eat. We were greeted and our order taken and then nothing. No drink or water refills as we watched everyone that came after us get serviced. Our order was taken and then nothing but we watched the man that took our order refill his wine twice in 45 mins. Please do better for Oakland.

I really love rockin crawfish but I feel the quality has gone down. My most recent order was 2 lbs of crawfish and they were super small, over cooked and way too soft. Plus they give so much less juice with your order. Pretty disappointing.

Went over for dinner with the family after a few years. The service was so bad, the quality of the food went down drastically. The attitude of the staff was very unpleasant. They don’t pay attention to their customers. We had to get up several times and remind them that we were not served the entire order. It came in after long intervals. We used to frequent this place a lot earlier but now I’m never going back. Sad to say we were all disappointed after looking forward to enjoying a good meal after a long drive. You guys overcrowd the place and just shove people in and around.😫

If you want great seafood with great service and a way better atmosphere go to bag o crab San Leandro on parrot st … this location is trash they lied about their crawfish being fresh when it really was frozen and the dugness crab was not worth the price very smalll.. I’m just doing my part after an horrible experience. I spend too much money on seafood , so I def know the difference between frozen and fresh .. whatever name they built for themselves with the older generation …the folks in there now tearing it down smh so happy they not the only place with seafood . Y’all might as well change the name tbh
