Haven't been to this location since I moved out of Oakland back in 2019. The shrimp boil was just as good as I remember, very flavorful. But the gumbo has definitely gone down hill. It literally was the only restaurant gumbo I ever found enjoyable. But what I got tonight was trash. I swear they used to put chicken in it. I use to come here a lot but the atmosphere has changed. I brought my mother and daughter and had to ask them to change the music. It went from Plies “Becky” to multitude of other nasty songs..not that I’m not a fan lol but just not the right setting. Price of crawfish has TRIPPLED😮💨. It makes the trip down to New Orleans worth it. Kind servers and food was 8/10

The Boiling Crab revolution has taken over, but I'd have to say that Rockin' Crawfish is better. Rockin' Crawfish has a much better broth/sauce (Rockin' Combo) that isn't overly-garlicky like Boiling Crab and the crawfish is much fresher. I've gone to Rockin' Crawfish over 15 times in the last few years (including the Oakland location), and although it has it's rare bad days, it's pretty consistently delivered....
