Stopped by here for lunch and they did not disappoint. Best hamachi sashimi I've ever had! Also got some salmon sashimi that was wonderful. Ordered a Titanic roll which was great. Shanghai soup dumplings were okay but a little sweet for my liking. Rainbow roll and the ruby fat roll were pretty good as well. Overall awesome visit and would absolutely go again.

Sushi temperature too cold, seaweed salad a little on the sweet side. Ikura has been marinated....so no ocean flavor. Soup dumplings, gummy on the inside. Unagi a little too fishy tasting. The saving grace...the Miso soup.

the food tasted good but I woke up sick the last 3 times I have eaten there. has anyone else ever felt sick after eating here? 3 times is starting to feel a lot more than a coincidence. I ate chicken teriyaki last night and couldn't make it to work today

Ordered from the lunch menu with 3 options - beef teriyaki, spicy salmon roll, and chicken katsu. Comes with soup and salad. The food was good and decent portions. Also got the fish tacos which were very different and good.

I love this place. Best rolls: Sake toro roll (salmon belly), Angry Fish (spicy tuna, escolar/walu, tuna, shiso), negitoro. They have a happy hour from 5-7pm, $5 draft Sapporo and Asahi, $5 small hot sake, and $6 apps. One of the servers here is trilingual - Spanish, english, and Cantonese. The prices are on point, and their fish is always fresh. If the sushi is good, I order alot, Ive never spent more than $60 here on myself, and I always get full. They are so friendly, they love basketball and are always happy to put your favorite game on tv. Dont sleep on this place. A japanese restaurant in Chinatown, but the cooks put alot of love and good energy in making these rolls and sashimi. They are also open to your preference in the ingredients of rolls. Ask for real wasabi.Si solamente hablan español y quieren probar el sushi aqui es un buen lugar donde tienen un mesero que habla español y les puede explicar todos los platillos. Vengan a comer esta buena comida.

We had a business dinner for 4 on a Wednesday and enjoyed the meal. Sakura has an ecletic mix of Japanese and Chines food. After consulting with a waiter, we decided that Japanes was the best bet. Good Sake selection and we ordered a small bottle of dry Sake that everyone enjoyed. Several appetizers were ordered including Edamame, Chicken Karaage, Chicken and Beef Yakitori and a couple of rolls for the Table. Everything took a while to come out and tasted great. The sushi and Sashimi were good as well. They don't have some super weird and fancy selection of fish, but what they have seemed fresh. Had another bottle of Sake, packed the extra food and called it a success. This is a good choice if you're in this part of town. It's located on the second floor, on the inside Courtyard, of a building that is probably not going to win any design awards. If you are in the Courtyard, look up to find it and take the escalators.

Sushi was fresh and delicious. I think it would be a better experience dining in so we plan to make our way back to eat in person.

My wife and I had a great experience. The owner was first class and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommended!

If you are disabled or have a service dog, do not come here. Their managaers are ignorant of the law & will harass you even if you are not disturbing anyone. I almaot ended up in the hospital because of 1 floor manager discrimanting against disability.

If you are disabled or have a service dog, this place is not for you. The food is fantastic, the sushi chefs are amazing but whomever they had as a floor manager tonight was ignorant of service dog policies, rude, disrespectful & caused me to have a full blown ptsd/panic attack reaction on my way home due to being distraught over the situation. Took 3 hours to get home. Just an fyi, I only ate half my food which was fantastic & over tipped above what I ordered because the chefs were NOT at fault. The floor manager was. I would love to come back but most likely never will ... my service dog did his job & I am grateful for him ...

Food is worth coming for. Everything else not so much. We walked in and it wasn't even busy, but nobody greeted us or said hi. A guy came by to grab menus and just stared at us. I had to say hi first and he gave me this shrug like well do you want to sit?? I was kind of confused, so I said table for 2 and he just walked away. We ended up following him and he was waiting at a table. Took forever for them to bring us waters and the other server didn't speak English. But props to him for trying to brave the tables I guess... When I checked in on Yelp for the free fish taco, it showed some timed out error but the server never said anything so I thought he still put the order in. I had to ask when we were almost done if the tacos were still coming out. He said, oh you had an error on your phone. Uhh at least communicate whether or not you put the order in...This place has so much potential if it were in a better location and more workers. The food is good and fish is fresh. The slices and portions are very generous too. But you know it's bad when the server tells a couple that just walked in for a table, "oh sushi might take awhile, do you want to go next door or somewhere else?" Wtf lol

Came here for dinner with a group of 6. We were sat immediately and given delicious tea while we ordered. The rolls were very filling and had a lot of flavor. The table favorite was the Under the Sea roll; definitely recommend for any scallop lovers. The service was a little bit slow and the food came out at odd times. We didn't get our order of the nigiri 10 pc set until everyone finished eating their rolls. But the nigiri pieces were FAT. Definitely would order again.

Great friendly efficient service...the king prawn salad was good..had a good kick with the black pepper...the chef's choice sashimi plate was yummy...but the steak was a major disappointment...severely under seasoned...I thought the potato cubes didn't fit the theme...weird choice at a Japanese restaurant...despite the great service, I wouldn't come back and order the beef...

Before yesterday, this was my GFs sushi spot in chinatown but now its a spot that's questionable.Idk if they should get a 2 star from my rating but its borderline. The main things that makes it questionable is the cockroach we saw at our booth crawling on the bench seating. The miso soup was ehhh, it was really watery. The picture I added was of the saba shioyaki bento box. I understand food is expensive in general and maybe ive been spoiled from other japanese restaurants but for $17, I feel like the portions were slim. The bento box did come with a salad and miso soup, too. My gf got the Dragon Roll and usually those specialty rolls leave her with some leftover pieces but she ate it all this sitting. The edamame was good and salty so that was good. Im not knocking the whole meal bc the food was edible and tasted decent. Its just for what you get, im sure theres another japanese restaurant where you can get more for your money.
