Some of the best Thai food I've ever had! My sister and I literally dream about their curries. I get the green, red, and yellow curries and the pad see ew nearly every week. I have a lot of food allergies, and it's hard to find Thai restaurants where the food is amazing AND they're responsive and sensitive. I am allergic to gluten, soy, egg, and dairy, and I've never had any issues here. They now know me and my order, and I can have a wider variety of the noodles (gluten-free, sans soy, egg, etc.) than I've been able to have at any other Thai restaurant I've ever been to. It's family-owned, too, and the family who owns Saysetha is truly wonderful.
A gem. I can taste spices in the dishes that I've never noticed in other Thai restaurants before. Highly recommended.
My partner and I went out for a date night in Alameda and by chance went to this place. Absolutely fantastic food. We have now Uber Eats ordered from there twice now, and recommend to a lot of friends to go eat there when they come to Alameda.
The folks at Saysetha consistently are welcoming, kind, and serve a darn good meal! The service is excellent, not to mention the delicious Thai cuisine. Flavorful, hot, fresh, and authentic, Saysetha food is always wonderful. Truly makes you feel at home. Best Thai in the area!!
I love the classic yellow curry! I also tried the Thai tea and it hit the spot. I've done take out a few times and they always have my order ready in a quick 15 minutes. Glad to have a family business like this in the neighborhood!
Really good food been going for years. Give it a try.
Had the Thai spring rolls with peanut sauce and the pad see ew. Great portion! Was absolutely stuffed and the pad see ew was on point. The spring rolls were well constructed and the sauce was on point, really sweet.
This restaurant truly is a hidden gem. We ordered the coconut fish fillet curry, and it was absolutely delicious, from texture to flavor. The service was also very nice and the staff was very very kind. Definitely recommend.
Truly a great local, family owned Thai restaurant. We ordered a yellow curry with chicken and a pad Thai with tofu. Both were EXCELLENT. The curry's spice was on the lighter side (I asked for spicy), but the flavor was able to carry the dish without the need for the extra heat. For dessert, we treated ourselves to Thai teas, and preferred them over other boba/tea places in the neighborhood. All in all, a great local spot with a friendly staff and great cuisine.
One of my favorite Thai restaurants.. Delicious food. Generously portions.
Back open for inside dining- our favorite Thai restaurant in Berkeley. Tables are effectively distanced, air is circulating, and service well adapted to the pandemic. So happy to be back!
I usually go and try the burger next door but was very curious as to how this place will taste. Looking from outside, the place is a bit old, they have started doing indoor dining but spacing is limited. Me and my co-workers all tried their drunken noodles. The server/owner was very kind and attentive. I asked for my drunken noodles to be super spicy but it wasn't that spicy but I will be back to try again!!
Saysetha has been my go-to spot for the last 6 years when I want some comfort food. Their curries are my fave, followed closely by pad see ew if I'm craving noodles. Takeout is almost always ready in 15-20 mins, which is also super nice.
This is a solid choice for takeout. I had the beef Massamun and it was delicious as always. Don't forget to order the rice! The beef is savory and tender, the pumpkin is hearty, and there is plenty of thick saucy goodness for all the rice to soak up. I've also had the Pad Kee Mao and it is worth going back for also!
