Just found this little gem! I live so close to this place and can’t believe I haven’t seen it before. Everything was excellent! I was surprised to find the americano (cocktail) which was amazing! And the pasta so good!!Can’t wait to be back!

I expected better.. the food was decent but not great. We had the focaccia (toasted too much and should have been served with oil or something), gnocchi (the better dish), trumpet mushroom dish (at least it was something to dip the crusty focaccia in) and shrimp pasta (shrimp kinda gritty and not super fresh tasting, plus the sauce could have been a lot better and it needed salt but there wasn't any). The prices should be for a traditional sit down restaurant, but you have to order ahead of time before you get a table, and the tables are too close together. It's too tight and very loud inside even though it can't hold many people. The server got our check and had us swipe payment at the table while I was still eating. Not just the last bite either.. like one person finished and he immediately got the check. We didn't try the dessert, but the options weren't very inspiring..date cake or pizzelle cookies ..no thanks. There are so many good Italian desserts they could have done.I won't be going back.

Sfizio recently opened and replaced the long-standing Noodle Theory. It was a warm atmosphere inside, nice but not over-the-top. A perfect casual/nice date spot. You order at the counter and the menu appears to rotate daily with a few consistent items like their spaghetti and meatballs and salad options.Truly the food was excellent. The spaghetti and meatballs were divine, the charred broccoli was so flavorful and fresh with the lemon. The seafood pasta was rich and complex, a little fish-heavy for my pallet but still delicious. Loved that each noodle was hand-made, and the quality and care was evident from the kitchen, kudos!Service was fine, a little strange when ordering at the counter because it’s hard to feel like you know who to ask questions to if you need more water or have a question etc., but not a big deal.I think the issue for me was just how cramped it was inside. We were seated next to another couple which was fine, but it was hard to hear each other over their volume and I don’t blame them because everyone was packed in. In short—it was distracting and made us want to leave earlier than we usually would. The couple stayed for a long time, and I could see the server eyeing them, hoping they would leave so they could seat more people, a bit awkward. I realistically think the layout of the restaurant could be improved on for a better dining experience.Amazing food, no complaints there especially for the price, but the atmosphere was just not quite aligning with the meal, and it wasn’t the intimate date spot we were hoping for.

I really appreciate the efforts of this restaurant it keeps costs down by having a small selection of pasta (3) and sides. The trumpet mushroom tagliatelle was delicious and perfectly seasoned. My daughter had the white miso cacio e Pepe which she loved, but was frankly too salty for me, although the flavors were good. We had an incredible pannacotta with pistachio brittle and a float of olive oil resulting in the creamiest most unctuous dessert I’ve had in a while! Service was excellent. Will be back.

Fantastic vibes, even better food. I cannot recommend this place more highly. I live around the corner and have come with friends, family, and even by myself when I need a quick but delicious bite. Everyone I've taken has shared my love for Sfizio. The staff is kind, attentive and knowledgeable, and the tunes are versatile but hip. It's hard to believe how they do all of this at such a reasonable price point! Perfect for a date, work dinner, or just catching up with a friend. Wish I could give Sfizio 10 stars!

Great service, perfect amount of food. We got an app and 2 pastas...didn't have to wait because we opted to sit outside when it was freezing cold But we'll be back!

Spaghetti and meatballs is to dieeee for. The rotating pasta dishes are also soooo good. They have fun little side dishes and a good selection of wines and amaro liquors. I really like the niceHost and intimate atmosphere.

We had dinner at this restaurant recently, and it was by far the worst meal we've had anywhere. We ordered several pasta dishes and both of the veggie dishes. Overpriced salty and burnt. The broccoli was bitter and burnt and it was so salty that you couldn't taste anything but the salt, terrible. Not to mention the portion size which was ridiculously small. At most three miniature sprigs of broccoli. And the carrots were awful, the portion size was miniature at most 4 smal carrots and they were swimming in disgusting amount of spicy red oil, also drenched in salt, uncooked with a bitter burnt flavor. The pasta was gummy, too salty, too much cheese, and way too rich. Everything was salty, burnt and just terribly disgusting. We Would never go back and we would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food was great and we were having a lovely dinner until the very end. We had a reservation at 5 and were there as the restaurant opened. We had our food and paid our bill. We were still enjoying wine when one of the staff approached us and said "I'm going to need to kick you out in 5 minutes." It wasn't even 6 yet. We were there less than an hour. I understand wanting to turn around tables but at least let us finish our wine and there are better ways to phrase telling us you need the table. I'll never be back. It's too bad because the food was very good.

Absolutely incredible Italian cuisine with a focus on authenticity. Exceptional customer service adds to the experience, and the constant improvement is evident. With a monthly-changing menu, these guys have perfected the art of running a top-notch restaurant.

Delicious and flavorful Italian small plates. The simple menu inspired confidence, and I liked the former of ordering at the front and then sitting down. Great cozy date spot or for groups of 4!

One things for sure, this place is expedient. That said, you do feel the pressure of eating and leaving as people are waiting out the door and the dishes are coming out as fast as they can. As long as you know what you're in for, you'll have a great experience. This was our second time at sfizio. The first was for four of us and we arrived at 5:15, 15 minutes too late for the first seating. 5pm is opening time and the only time you can potentially make a reservation at this sliver of a restaurant. There is no list, so you wait in line. Plus side is that they will bring you line cocktails while you stand and wait. We had the white lily and dark sfizio. The server gave the ladies in front of a tasting of two red wines so they could decide on a bottle. He then took our order in line and memorized everything we spouted out from the wall menu. This time two of us arrived at 6:00pm on a Friday and there were three parties in front of us. We got seated at 6:30, bypassing the threesome in front of due to limited space. There are only 9 two seat tables and it's gets loud squeezed next to your neighbors. There is plenty of outdoor seats but no heat lamps so there's no one outside in the cold weather. They are hoping for a parklet in the future. A lot of potential to expand. The dishes come fast and frantic. We didn't have enough space on the small table. The dishes are flavorful and well presented. With four of us we had tried one of everything on the menu but could have added another dish. This time with two of us we had the salad, olives and crackers, grilled broccolini, spaghetti and meatballs, tagliatelle, and ginger snap cookies that come with a digestif. I took a compostable take out box for leftovers. Their menu rotates besides the staple spaghetti and meatballs. My husband was dreaming of returning since our first visit and this time we expected the wait. There was a line out the door as we left as well. The server brings you a card reader to your table to check out. The unisex restroom is in the back. We took 45 minute seated; definitely not a leisurely European meal. As mentioned, there is a quick turnaround!

We walked by this quaint restaurant on a rainy day and the fact that is looked inviting and had an open kitchen in the restaurant made us walk in to give it a try. This place is what I think of when I picture a dining experience I would want over and over again... a simple menu with fresh ingredients, a friendly staff, a packed house but not too many tables, and a tasty wine served in the same glasses you would get at a traditional trattoria in Italy. We tried the Gluten-free pasta and it was seriously the best gluten-free pasta we've ever had with a rich and well balanced combination of flavors. The Panna Cotta was also surprisingly delicious and the combination of honeycomb and olive oil with the yogurt Panna Cotta was astounding. The prices were décents and the portions were copious. You might have to wait a little bit but it's worth it.

My first time, and I must admit I've been looking forward to dining here for a while. A friend and I shared the following plates. Salad with avocado and beets, (and I believe pine nuts) and pomegranate. An interesting and fun combination of ingredients with a lite refreshing dressing. Rigatoni, Black trumpet Bolognese. This dish impressed me. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was rich, flavorful and unique. The hit of the evening. Spaghetti and meatballs. A traditional no frills dish with meatballs that had a nice crust and tender inside. Made it seemed with beef and pork for a nice texture. A bit heavy on the breadcrumbs. Yogurt panna cotta. Super yummy refreshing and fun desert to round out the evening. Now for the service. I felt rushed. I was asked three times during dinner if I was done with my pasta. The first time I was asked, my plate was half full. I appreciate that restaurants need to turn tables. Honesty though, I don't Dilly Dally or Lollygag during meals. I never Diddle or Shilly-Shally when I eat out. I get it. And the only meaningful exchange I had with a server was when while I was eating my desert - a Square credit card reader was placed in front of me on the table. Would I come back again? Matt says - Probably not. There are too many good restaurants I still want to try.

best spaghetti and meatballs I’ve ever had. I have a love hate relationship with spaghetti bc of school lunches but this version really lets the tomatoes shine in their rich, luscious glory. The squash brown butter gnocchi was an interesting balance between sweet and savory. The mushroom rigatoni was equally rich, but wish they incorporated more of the umami flavor in the mushroom. but I love this place so much it’s a 10/10 for me!!!
