I celebrated my graduation last night in this great place. happy to tell that we had a phenomenal evening and the place was clearly one of the reasons for this strong event. The waiters participated in a lovely way, the meals were extremely good and my guests were extremely overjoyed. We shall absolutely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

We came here for lunch I mmmmm a little while back. We ordered the Chicken Adobe plate, Tom yum noodles, a thai tea, and an ube cheesecake. The chicken Adobe was pretty good, but a little dry. The Tom yum noodles tasted kind of like watered down spaghetti. There really wasn't much going for it and it was difficult to finish the plate. The ube cheesecake and Thai tea were both really good. It was also nice because they used eco-friendly products. Overall this place was a bit on the pricier end, costing about $35-$40 overall.

I went and picked up take out from Soul Provisions with my coworkers using Ritual. The owner was very nice and packaged everything up for us. We both ordered the chicken adobo tacos with mango salsa. We also ordered lumpia over the phone. Everything was ready by the time we got there. Tacos were really flavorful. I wish they had a little more heat, so I added some Sriracha. They were bomb with that added. Lumpia was pretty good as well. I would definitely come back to try some other dishes. And definitely the desserts as they had I've cheesecake!

I've been trying to eat less meat during the day so I decided to try the mushroom larb salad with a side of garlic rice and it was the perfect combination. I don't usually like eating that much rice but I could eat that garlic rice all day. I probably would have still been hungry if I just had the salad. The pricing is a little steep for lunch but worth it for the flavor.

At least for me, it's not easy to find a good Filipino resto. I love everything about this place, the chicken adobo is so good! I already know I'll be having lunch here at least twice a week.

Really good mushroom quesadilla. Nice and friendly atmosphere. Decent prices. It's rare that a restaurant can make my food spicy enough and they delivered.

Best new Filipino spot in the downtown/uptown Oakland area! These guys are legit. I got the sinigang which comes with rice and salad on the side. The sinigang did not disappoint and I've had my fair share of delicious homemade sinigang. Big servings of pork in the sinigang were a plus. Garlic fried rice is bomb, definitely worth the extra charge over regular white rice. Service and wait times can be slow but the people working behind the counter are so nice and make sure to give each guest their attention and kindness. If you're in a rush for lunch this probably isn't the spot for you but if you have some time to sit down and enjoy a tasty meal this is for sure a go-to spot.

This particular space on Broadway has had its share of pop-ups and tenants over the years. Even though the venue is super tiny, I hope Soul Provisions sticks around, either here or at a larger venue in the future, because the food is darn good and well-portioned. I worked from home one recent weekday in order to avoid folks who were coughing and sniffling openly in the office. And I powered my way through the morning without breakfast. So I was super hangry by the time the lunch hour rolled around. Fortunately, the chicken adobo rice plate didn't disappoint. A super aromatic and yummy combo of garlic rice (at an extra charge) and lots and lots of chicken. It tasted great on its own and would have been even more amazing if I'd gotten some sauce, which I think I forgot at the self-serve utensils and condiments station. A side of lumpia also held up well into the afternoon. Service is friendly and welcoming here. The only drawback is the venue, where the tables seem a bit clunky and oversized and therefore leave little wiggle room if all the seats are taken. Still, it's worth making a special trip if you're anywhere near downtown Oakland during lunch hour, even if there's no room and you have to get your food to go. The food is *that* good.

That was a great chicken adobo panini! If you're coming up to this spot you might be thinking to yourself "Wasn't there previously a modern Filipino restaurant in this spot?" and you'd be correct. This used to be occupied by Craft and Spoon for all of a hot minute. Now it is Soul Provisions, offering a Filipino and Thai influenced menu, and a shockingly stocked Happy Hour menu. Located on the wedge separating Broadway and Telegraph, giving it two entrances like the other spots there. Inside expect to find a surprisingly gorgeous and well decorated interior. They may have taken some style cues from FOB Kitchen with the modern but slightly tropical vibe. Clearly a lunch spot first, but I get they are also trying to go for an early afternoon, non-coffee house work space. And they have the drinks to back that up. The menu, while simple, caters to omnivores, vegetarians, and even vegans, with Chicken Adobo 3 ways, some mushroom dishes, and daily specials as well. I was a bit disappointed at the lack of lumpia (as I am any day I don't have lumpia) but the man behind the counter pointed out he's trying to get a fryer for them. After looking at the three chicken adobo options, I decided on the Panini and glad I did. On soft, sliced brioche that honestly is delightful in of itself, and topped with monterrey cheese, the chicken was pulled and full of vinegar flavor. It came with a mixed green salad and some pickled veggies to given a healthier lunch option. On the not as healthy option, I had to get an order of the chicharones. I got a more than generous bag full of long but thin pork rinds with the spicy vinegar dip. Not burn your tongue off spicy, more slight kick at the beginning spicy. I had a few but honestly the sandwich and salad was filling enough. Cute spot, good food, friendly staff, a significant drink menu. If I worked in the area I would definitely hit up their happy hour options, or swing by for a work while drinking (or drink while working) session. I'll be back.

I'd walked by Soul Provisions to and from work so I was very curious about it and decided to try it for lunch. The food was delicious, service was nice, and I enjoyed the ambiance in the place. It feels welcoming and on the day that I visited, there was good music playing. This time I tried the poké -- it was tasty and full of flavor. I'll be back to try other items.
