Ordered lamb ribs but there was barely any meat. Mostly fried fat and scraps.

The “ribs” were cleaver-diced into minuscule chunks and highly fried, hiding the fact there was not much real meat, and it might not even have been lamb. Whatever the unknown meat was, there wasn’t much.

A small cup of rice cost either $1.50 or $2.50 (can’t tell from the writing) and couldn’t even be included with the meal. And then cash only. I’m a fan of Chinese food, but if a restaurant is being this cheap, it gets a poor rating.

Have been coming here for over 7 years now. Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Tons of spices and flavors, hot 🥵 options are actually hot, I have to come here every time I visit Oakland, its mandatory. We will experiment with 1-2 new dishes each visit, but every time we get the same 3 items: Eggplant in Garlic (茄子), Chinese Black mushroom (冬菇才), and Beef Tendon Stew (独牛筋). I know, beef tendon stew sounds crazy, I said the same thing, but the flavor is incredible. If you appreciate authentic Chinese food bursting with flavors, this will be your new spot!

Great meal for a solid price, and I love how it's served with complimentary hot tea. Bring cash!

No frills, cash only, solid Chinese food.

I like the green beans, exploding fried fish, eggplant with garlic sauce, and the spicy cucumber salad.

Would go back and would recommend.

A mildly western leaning take on Sichuan. Explosive fried chicken is perfectly fried, salty, and mind blowing coupled with a bowl of white rice to balance the salt. The rice cakes with pork & shittake are al dentely bouncy with an addicting slightly sweet and savory soy sauce base. Nowhere else in the bay does it like them.

These flavors are crazy. Explosive fish, fried calamari, and wonton soup was SO good. I'm very happy. Leftovers will be delicious.

Absolutely delicious food! Perhaps the best szechuan I've had in the bay. Good prices too, but cash only so be prepared.

Authentic Sichuan-style Chinese cuisine, with options from Hunan and Taiwan as well. Reasonable pricing and satisfying portions. Recommended.

Solid Chinese food. Try the Cold Spicey Beef. Won Ton soup is amazing.

It was ehhhh. Spice yes. Depth of flavor nah. I was really surprised because so many people recommended this place. It's fine if you want some food. We got 4 items and it was 60 dollars. One was fried rice and one was noodles which seems steep. There are no egg rolls on the menu 😔

The food is delicious!!! The prices are reasonable, although the service could have been better. The print menu had a hotness coding system (red pepper icons) for each dish. They should definitely add this to the online menu as it would really help with people's ordering decisions.

Cash only business so we couldn’t use credit card. They demanded a tip and just stood their and waited. Tofu tasted like air, nothing inside

I ordered watercress and they gave me sauteed romaine. Clearly not watercress. I like this restaurant but I don't appreciate this kind of substitution when I'm paying almost 20 dollars for specifically watercress.
