First of all, the food was great. I could tell it was a popular restaurant based on the non-stop delivery pick-ups!
The service was unique. There was only one older gentleman, and a bit of a language barrier. But we were able to easily order and communicate that they were out of the donuts. 😭
But despite that, and the hole-in-the-wall location of it. And the confusion of a another, similarly named restaurant Spices across the street. But we got pointed in the right direction...read full review
the owner and staff are so nice. and the sesame noodles are the best in the bay area! definitely give this spot a try for authentic chinese food. also they have vegan/ vegetarian options. this is oakland’s best hidden gem and a must-go if you are craving some bomb chinese food.
