They messed up my order but their food is decent!Garlic Oyster is not very good, and the chicken curry bento box is alright, but the dim sum is on point!

I celebrated my birthday at Tastee Steam Kitchen with my family, and it was an absolute delight! The all-you-can-eat hotpot experience was top-notch, and to top it off, I got to enjoy it for free on my special day. The service was prompt, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Located in Oakland Chinatown, this spot is a must-visit for anyone craving a delicious hotpot feast. Will be coming back soon!

The food is really good, we get hot pot here around once a month. The service is not very good though, the waiters are slow and they frequently forget to bring the food we order.

All you can eat Shabu without the eating part is a little sad. Server forgot our order several times and we had to flag down other staff. When food did eventually come, half our order was missing.Too many options around to take a chance on this place again. We were excited to try this place, but left disappointed.

They have good lunch prices for the mini hot pots. The broth for the beef satay was delicious and there is a good amount of meat and vegetables. It comes with rice or noodles to make sure you are full. It takes some effort to wave down some help. The mini hot pots can fit into a lunch hour as long as you get your order in quickly.

We (a party of 3) tried the Sauna steam pot. We did not order any set but tried geoduck/象拔蚌, garlic beef, razor clam, Chinese cabbage and the cordyceps flower & chicken porridge/虫草花鸡粥! They cook and serve you by the table, very nice service!

Do not waste your $$ and time here.So I work nearby and saw that they had all AYCE hot pot for $25.99 during lunch time and decided to try it with my colleagues. First disappointment was the price was actually $29.99.There was no one else beside us but it took 30 min for our first round of order of food to arrive. It's as if they know we only have an hour for lunch and was intentionally bringing out food "SLOWLY". Our second order didn't get here another 20 min later. By then we had to head back to the office. It took 40 min for our complimentary BOBA milk tea to arrive. It was supposed to be AYC Drink, too. The service was non existent. The waiters intentionally ignored us and tend to those who didn't order AYCE.Let's talk about quality of food. How in the world can you mess up a hot pot? As long as the ingredients are fresh, with the proper combination of condiments, you just can't go wrong with a hot pot, but this place accomplished this. The Wagyu beef looked good raw, but tasted like rubber once cooked. The lamb and pork were mediocre. The vegetables and fish balls were normal. The most noteworthy items were: the French fries and boba milk tea. I left hungry and angry. We will not return.
First time at Tastee, since we happened to be standing an overnight in Oakland, decided to eat lunch before returning home. Wednesday not very busy for lunch, but had a variety of tasty food. Was hoping they included a grill for self cooking, unfortunately only a hot pot soup. Sushi not bad.

We really liked their diverse soup options! It's not often that we find hot pot base options that are not primarily made with beef or pork broth. Their selection of meat and side dishes was comprehensive. Timing of the food was fast. Broth and water glasses were refilled without having to ask our server. The robot's song when delivering an item got stuck in our heads for the remainder of the day!

I went with my friends here because they recommended it. THEY ALSO HAVE BOBA REFILLS!1.) Location and parking - 3/5. If you're not used to being around this part of Oakland, you'll probably not be too excited to look forward to it. To us, it's not a bad walk depending on where you find parking. Also, there is public parking close where you can park but will have to pay. 2.) Operating hours and customer service - 3.5/5. We came here at night and we had an hour and 30 mins left which was not bad. They kind of have a slow service but it's because they are assisting other tables. 3.) Look/decorations - 4/5. The inside was ok, a regular AYCE restaurant look.4.) Price - 4/5. I think the price was ok for the 4 of us in my group. Spent $200 here. 5.) Food Taste/quality - 5/5. The soup is so delicious. You can choose to add/make your sauce but I think it doesn't need other sauces. I don't normally go to hot pot places coz I'm not a fan of certain soup bases but this place has 6 choices. We got different kinds of meat so we could try and see which meat we would order again. We only ate the Hot pot since you'd be full of all the protein and veggies you're gonna be eating.I do recommend Tastee Steam Kitchen for people who are curious about the taste of their food so they can see whether they like the food or not. Worth trying!

Great all you can eat shabu in the area. It’s pretty hidden! The food wasn’t too bad, service was prompt and attentive, sauce bar was alittle messy and the food seemed like it was mediocre in quality. The free boba with your meal was an excellent surprise .
