I had coffee and a beagle. The beagle was fresh and the coffee was warm even though it was around lunchtime. The covered patio was very nice especially with the sun shining. The next visit will be for the full breakfast.

The latte I ordered was not a true latte but rather coffee in a bowl with milk poured into it. I am no coffee critic but this was pathetic. My omelet was runny and should be an embarrassment to the ownership. Would not recommend.

The picture is of a bacon-avocado omelet (I forget the exact name). They didn't skimp on the bacon.

We had amazingly fast and attentive service, even on a very busy, rainy day. Classic breakfast diner fare with no frills -- a great place for conversation and friendly vibes.

The person making coffee was really happy to be there and gave great costumer service, would recommend their breakfast bagels too!

Super sweet service! Friendly and extremely hospitable staff, we had a lovely experience here. The food portions are huge and quality of ingredients made every dish delectable. We all ordered craft coffees and passed them around so we could each try. I would definitely recommend coming here, we will definitely be back!

Overpriced, mediocre oat milk latte- didn’t taste good and almost half of the cup was just foam.

I'm down here in the Grand Lake area visiting iconic Oakland restaurant locations with a local guide. This Coffee Mill has been here since 1974 I'm told, that's almost 50 years! My guide has been coming here since the 1990's so that's over 30 years. It's been remodeled some over the years and is now more of a breakfast place then bakery, though they still have a lot of baked good to sell like those flaky croissants. The service is quick enough, and more efficient than friendly chatty. We order omelets. Most omelets breakfasts are priced in the $17.00 range more or less and include the usual, toast choices and hashbrowns. The price of breakfast sure has gone up, add a coffee and tax and tip, you got a almost $30 per person breakfast! Glad I'm on an expense account! All the food was tasty and prepared well enough, but I couldn't see eating here 3-4 times a week for breakfast, that's for sure.

Lovely people who always let me drink coffee and write while they work around me. Rare find.

Very friendly staff! I like coming here every once in a while to get an oolong tea with lychee jelly and a breakfast sandwich. Nice place for a date too.
