Do yourself a favor and stop by, order the brisket AND the yams... and of course a tasty beverage of your liking. Staff was great, hats off to the chef, great pit stop!

honestly would've given a 3 star review based on a 30 minute + wait for a salad (not super busy when i got here). what saved the rating & made it 4 stars was the great service recovery effort the cashier/cook made. she was doing it all & clearly short staffed. she genuinely apologized multiple times for the wait & then came over to my table to offer me a complimentary iced tea or a refreshing arnold palmer. the salad was great! the green machine with turkey. price high but yummy.

Nom nom nom... It is inside Crooked City. Deviled eggs, cheese platter, beast pizza are so good. Beast Pizza is a meat lovers delight. There is guanciale on it. If you don't know what guanciale is, it is bacon on steroids. Meat fat heaven!!! The pizza has a nice crunch to it. You put in your order. You pay. They take your phone # and you get a text when your order is ready for pick up. Easy

I come here for their impossible burger. Highly recommended! I like the casual indoor/outdoor seating options as well. A good place to sit and talk with friends - they have board games!

Town Square Eats is a worthy complement to Crooked City Cider here in Jack London Square. It's a window located inside the taproom, but you don't necessarily have to patronize both in order to take advantage of either. I live just steps away from Crooked City/Town Square and walk past it almost every day, but didn't have a chance to check things out until a recent Yelp Elite event. Fortunately, the event was so compelling that I've come back several times since to try things on my own dime. At the Town Square window you'll find a compact but scrumptious menu of bites that'll go well with your boozy drinks from Crooked City. Vegetarians and vegans will rejoice as there are several friendly options here, including a corned beet reuben as well as an (alternately) Impossible or Beyond Meat double "cheese" burger. For the carni/omnivores out there, there are other options like pepperoni pizza. Orders can take a while to fulfill, even during quiet periods, but at least you know your food is being made on the spot instead of having sat there all day long. Also, they may close earlier than listed here on Yelp (as may Crooked City itself). All in all, a great addition to my neighborhood!

Beware of their hours. They don't seem to have set hours of operation and they close before their posted Yelp hours. I tried this place once and liked it enough to go back. It's good though kind of expensive for what you get. However, the same is pretty much true for every other place in Oakland. My friend raves about the latest version of the Impossible Burger, so I was looking forward to going back. We went on Sunday and arrived before 9pm. Yelp says they close at 930pm. There were people inside, but the doors are locked. We drove about 15 minutes specifically to come to this place. The hours posted on the door don't list a closing time--it just say "until close." That's really not helpful and somewhat inconsiderate of customers. Maybe it's the hours snafu is cider business' fault but they should be clearer about the hours of operation. I'd like to try this place again, but will make sure to go during the middle of the day.

Pre-made pizzas. Super thick crust. I don't think I would get their pizza again. Nice space and spacious spot tho w/ board games.

This place is really great. I try to eat vegan once a week and the vegan selection is truly stellar. Really enjoyed the beyond meat burger. Will come again.

Delicious! I love the impossible burger in whatever form they're serving it (they change it up!) and the caviar chips!!! So so so good!!!

Limited menu done to perfection. Town Eats is unassuming, so much so that I walked by 4 times. Tucked into the Cider Bar, it offers light fare heavy on flavor.

This is one of my favorite spaces in Oakland. Food is perfect. Atmosphere is awesome. Crooked City Cider is the best. But the lady who took my food order was not transparent about the time it would take. It's been an hour to get my pizza and charcuterie. She told me 10 mins. I had to rearrange my child care situation based off being misinformed. Time is the biggest commodity. You want my business be HONEST about my wait time. Thanks for the great space though.

Listing online says open till 11:30. I arrived at 10:30 ... and closed. Sign on the door says opened "4pm - Closed". Here's the thing, my time is important to me. I drove over specifically to eat here. It took me a long time to find parking, JLS is very busy on a Friday night. If an establishment can not commit to a time to be open then how can it expect customers to be willing to spend their time going? While I was there I saw 2 couples after me try to eat here, so that's at least 3 groups the were turned away with over 45 minutes left according to the time posted online. If for some reason you think it's cool or chic to have dynamic hours of operations, then at least be conservative with the times and stay open later than public postings, if it's busy. Don't waste your customers time by posting something late, just to be turned away because you are having a slow night. If you are not a dependable business, you will continue having slow nights.

Found this place while visiting Crooked City Cider for an event & Im so glad I did. While I am not vegan or vegetarian myself I am always looking to eat a little healthier and to find delicious ways to cut back on my meat intake. That being said whenever I find a place with a vegan heavy menu I'm always drawn to try the vegan food and I've gotta say Town Square Eats did not disappoint at all. I tried the Fun Guy and Rainbow Unicorn pizza while I was there and both were delicious. I'm a big fan of burrata so the fun guy was definitely my favorite of the two, but I definitely ate my share of the rainbow unicorn. We did the rainbow unicorn vegan option and I thought that it wouldn't be as good, but I honestly would've never guessed it was a vegan pizza it was that good. Town Square Eats and Crooked City are a really great pairing in a great location and I definitely want to bring my friends back here to hang out when they visit. The space itself was great and the food was delicious and service was wonderful.

Really good food and interesting beer and cider options. Games in the back for the kids as well. Worth checking out. Will add pics next time we visit.
