Finally made it to this beautiful Native-owned and operated restaurant. The fry bread was amazing, as was the wild rice fritters. The taquitos were good, but as with many others I’ve had, the filling gets lost. Hours are very limited, but well worth the trip to Oakland. The restaurant is steps from the Fruitvale BART station, so easy to get there via public transit.

Distinctive and delicious indigenous cuisine served in a warm, family-style setting. Everybody should try this place, I have never had food like this. Extremely fresh and flavorful.
The staff were kind, but the food wasn't that great. Had the bison steak - was overcooked, tough, and cut into too-large pieces. Came with potatoes (too many) and greens (too few), neither of which were that great/well seasoned. I might give it another try.
