My favorite brewery in the Bay Area. I love how they include more fragrant herbal flavors such as lavender, sunflower, etc in their beer, enhancing the taste of it. My favorite beer is the local honey beer and it's a hit among my friends, even those who don't even drink beer. It has subtle honey and lavender flavor. It's actually 6% surprisingly but it doesn't taste that strong at all. Very easy drink and most of my friends including those who don't drink beer always order this drink. We also tried the correctly spelt which is a black lager with sunflower and other herbal flavors. I was afraid it would taste like soy sauce but it was really good, a hint of chocolate, sunflower, dark beer... very smooth. Cost of the 4 pack of the local honey is $11. We went to the brewery to buy some beers and the worker helping us was extremely friendly... the card machine wasn't connecting to wi-fi and she didn't seem too stress about it not going through. Instead packed our beers and told us not to worry about it. Great customer service! Fortunately the order went through allowing us to support local businesses. We're halfway through our beers and hope to come back here soon to order more of their local honey and try their other beers. Another great thing about the brewery is the beautiful artwork in the labels, so aesthetically pleasing. I would love to expand and try their wines and ciders soon. During non-covid times especially during first Fridays, this place is usually lively with a live band at night. I miss those times!

A funky and precisely curated spot, from the backlit menu display to the indoor-outdoor patio space with a fire pit to the perfect playlist ranging from beachy indie to Nigerian disco. I love Woods. Each location is unique to its neighborhood. The staff are all friendly and kind. And the beer of course is FABULOUS. You can't beat local honey (honey eucalyptus lavender beer). Best local spot.

I stopped by Woods to grab a drink early on a Saturday afternoon. I arrived right around when they first opened. It's a little difficult to find street parking as the area Woods is located can get a little overcrowded. I ordered a flight of beer which was very reasonably priced for the quality of the beer as well as a chicken empanada that was was both fresh and tasty. The bartender had great choices in music that really matched the bar and it's vibe. It's very dim but is also comfortable enough to make you feel at home. If you're looking for something to do on weekend stop by Woods on the way for a drink or two.

Wow. What a lot of flavor packed into a small space. Loved all the beers I tried and was totally digging the atmosphere. Absolutely would come here again, especially because the food looked solid. Put this on your East Bay Brewery List!
