Very nice owners, good prices for good food ?

Great neighborhood gem. Been going here for years. Food is great for the diner it is! Food is simple, but made to order and if they aren't jammed up with people they will always say hello and offer a smile

5 stars because its real Oakland. The food is fresh, well cooked, and mostly pretty standard (except for the weekday specials and bibimbap). They spared every expense on the decor. But the owners are so friendly and always remember their customers, and usually what we order. During the week most of the customers are in orange or yellow safety vests - workers from the Port, or construction, or freight - which feels like the Oakland I grew up in. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and now I bring my kids too.

Open and following PPE guidelines and safety precautions! You order and pay inside, and wait outside for them to bring you the food.

Yes, the ambiance is so-so but the food is great. I go with the spicy pork every time. Its quick, inexpensive and delicious. The owners are very friendly people as well!

So happy to find bibimbap in Oakland. Family owned hole in the wall. A bit pricey for how the place looks.

The people who work here (the owners?) are really warm and welcoming. It doesn't look like much, but they're friendly greeting made it seem worthwhile. I got a ham & cheese, and it was fine. Nothing fancy, but I didn't expect anything fancy. If you need a quick, basic bite, this is the place. There's not much else around. Plenty of cold drinks on the fridge, and chips & candy.

Family owned business!! It's been here as long as I can remember! My mom worked at a family medical clinic in Jack London Square all my upbringing. We came here a lot for lunch for the last 20 years or so. Very good food with great service! The staff remembers our orders and even remembers us by our names as they do with many other regular customers! Go here if you enjoy great food and service with home like feel! My go to is the turkey Club sandwich with Avocado added!

No frills food, but hits the mark for the price...Friendly, feels like 1980's Oakland without the threat of death...Possibly the less cool business in Jack London.

Had a wonderful breakfast. Everything was done perfectly. And wonderful coffee..

Best burgers in the bay, nothing fancy, just classic burger..... So hard to find around here.

No frills Diner that serves simple yet delicious meals. Perfect for a quick meal if you have early train out of Jack London Square Station. It is run by small family and semi self service. Food is prepared fresh and I didn't have to wait long even though there's only one person tending the cash register and preparing the food. Highly recommended.

Fast, friendly, and across the street from the Jack London Square Amtrak station.

Not bad for a hole in a wall sandwich joint. Will come again if I have time in town..Good for commute a/o hungry on the hurry. Don't come here if you're looking for a five star quality taste or what not.
