the food was entirely Afghani IMHO, and according to some younger Afghani guests. I had lamb kabob and Afghani rice, two felafel and ferni [Afghani custard]. Rice delicious. Unlike any rice anywhere. Kabob definitely helal, tender, more cooked than an American would cook it but a lot less than a Turk. And full of flavour some of which I'm at a loss to identify, something enhancing its 'meatiness'. I don't know Afghani herbs/spices. I ate too too much. The mango...
Nice little place. Owner is super friendly. Service is good. Seating area is cozy however location is not the best. Overall, we had a great experience. Chatni and that potato bread was delicious.
I visited this Afghan restaurant and noticed that there were no Afghan workers inside. I ordered the chicken kabab and Bulani, but unfortunately, they didn't taste good. However, I appreciate that the staff was very nice and friendly during my visit.
