Authentic, flavorful, great wine selection, not too expensive, casual and laid back vibes.

Must try the eggplant, pork belly skewers and the fried rice! Get 2-3 dishes each and share. We had 2 each and we were stuffed.

I've been here twice now and great food both times. Very flavorful dishes, with a good level of spice but not over the top spicy. Last time I asked what their mocktail was and they made it custom for me based on what types of drinks I described, and it was delicious! One time I brough my 4 year-old and it was hard to find many dishes for him to eat since he doesn't like spicy food. He mostly ate coconut rice and then got ice cream down the road after.

Incredible - must try spot in North County SD. Everything is very tastefully crafted from a flavor and presentation perspective. Kerabu salad and the pork belly skewers were our personal favorites.

We ate here on Leap Day 2023. We made the reservation as a birthday meal not realizing that they were doing a special Leap Day prix fixe dinner that included 5 courses and wine parings. This was AMAZING. It gave us the chance to try dishes and wines that we may not have otherwise ordered. Every single thing we ate and drank was incredible. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is perfect. Its been 4 days and I can't stop thinking about the Roti!

Food itself very good, spicier than expected. I was with someone who does not handle spice well and it was slightly above their threshold. I would ask about the spice level of the dish you are considering before you order. The place is a little boomy and it can be hard to hear others at the table. All of the tables food does not come out at the same time, so if you are not planning on sharing your food, you might find this odd. I would definitely eat here again.

I'm surprised it wasn't more packed for how good the food, drinks, and service were for me. I blind selected this spot for a quick meetup with an out of town friend, and I was pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere was chic and chill. The cuisine was not my usual preference but turned out to be great anyway. I was a little thrown off by the cocktail selection but ended up with something green and delicious that tasted like fruit loops...??‍♂️, normally an old fashioned kinda guy myself. Either way, the staff was attentive, engaging, and even though there were a few larger groups, I was still able to hear the music and hold a conversation with the person next to me without having to shout. If I'm in town again, I will definitely be returning to this spot. Parking wasn't hard to find either. Thank you to the kitchen and bartender/front staff for a pleasant dining experience!

THIS IS NOT BALINESE FOOD!!!!!I went to this restaurant with my Balinese wife. This was her first visit to the United States. I took her to this restaurant because it is soooooooo hard to find Indonesian restaurants in the U.S.We ordered many dishes. And, dish after dish, we were disappointed. It's not that the food isn't tasty, many of the dishes are. The problem is THIS IS NOT BALINESE FOOD!!!The phrase "Dija Mara" is from the local Bali language. This listing says Dija Mara is a Balinese restaurant. This is simply not true. Dishes like Gado Gado and Nasi Goreng are unrecognizable in this restaurant. You may like the food at the restaurant. However, my concern is that the owner of this restaurant has misappropriated Balinese culture and is teaching all of the San Diego locals that this is Balinese food. It is not. Please change your restaurant type or go to Bali to properly learn Balinese cuisine.

The food was excellent! I ordered the short ribs and was quite impressed with the presentation. The meat was really tender and very tasty. My husband ordered the Nasi Goreng, and it was delicious! The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is that we had to wait 45 mins for the food.Parking could also be an issue.

The food was good but we really just had a terrible experience with the staff and felt so unwelcome. Also, when I ordered a second glass of wine the bartender offered to top off my husband's glass because the bottle was almost empty (his glass was still half full) and she charged us for a full second glass for him too. We thought she was being sweet but it was just the icing on the cake of feeling like they thought of the diners as a nuisance. Also, I wouldn't care so much if every glass of wine wasn't $17...it just felt scammy.

We came for lunch and were sat right away. The staff was friendly and we ordered 2 dishes. The first one was the spciey eggplant. Some of the eggplants were burnt and others undercooked. Worst part was that the second dish did not arrive for 4p minutes so we ended up cancelling the order and leaving. We left starving and disappointed by the whole exprience.

Round it up to a 5 star! Small cozy place with limited seating. Nasi goreng is great. Charred eggplant is a must! Small plates so order a few to share! Service was slow...

Be prepared for a very unique experience sampling Balinese /indonesian cuisine. Food is authentic and servers are friendly and very informative on the food /drinks. Place is decorated with hippie art that pleases the eyes!
